My husband died last September and I am embarking on a big change, moving from a 'pay to view' satellite TV to a 'free sat'. I was told I needed to pay the engineer £100 to install it- but I am going to try to do it myself next week- watch this space!!

Do you know that eBay seems to be having major problems where customers are unable to sign in - I believe this is following a system upgrade. Customers are unable to complain to eBay because you have to be able to sign in to contact them.
I'm surprised this is so low key!

I live in the part of Scotland where it is proposed to introduce Beaver.This is being done because single minded anoraks are obsessed with Bio- diversity at all costs. The destruction of an existing habitat, containing rare species,is not considered to be a very important issue compared to the introduction of a giant destructive rodent. The various bodies involved have lied and quite deliberately perverted research to make their case. Over £83000 has already been spent by SNH, and now a further 1.5 million pounds is being spent by SWT on this ludicrous endeavour, despite a report that it will not be possible for Beaver to survive in the wild without the intervention of man. It has been admitted that the trial period is not long enough to properly assess the impact of the beaver on the landscape,so one wonders why this obcenely expensive scheme is being persued.Unfortunately the body charged with ensuring that there are no problems ,SNH, also asked SWT to do this introduction on their behalf,an unfortuate relationship in terms of independance.The national press have found nothing wrong in this unhealthy relationship, or with the Scottish Executives lies in order to [promote the scheme.
