You don't have to be a genius or a Buerk to help make iPM. We rely on your stories and ideas to shape the programme, if there's an issue you'd like us to take a look at, or something in the news that's got your goat leave a comment below or send an email to ipm-@-bbc.co.uk.

A starter for 10: Have you ever experienced racism while on holiday? Did you get the right advice before you travelled? It's something we're looking at and we'd appreciate your thoughts.

Is it not true that no one, none of our world leaders or institutions, are addressing the real problem with the world economy? Also, that the current world business model does not and will never work?

Currently it works something like this. China manufactures everything, we pay for their goods in cash, we export nothing to China and China then lends us back the money we pay them to buy more goods. Yes it is a little more complicated than that, but not much, throw in a couple of other emergent economies (India and the Far East) and you have basically got the picture.

The essence of the problem is a massive trade imbalance between the developed and emergent economies, between the west (USA, NAFTA, EU, etc.) and the east.

This business model is not, and has never been, sustainable. It is only delusion, the mass delusion of unrestrained global capitalism, which has kept the model going. Our politicians and institutional officials have ignored common sense and led us up the garden path with the promise that unrestrained global capitalism will deliver jam tomorrow.

The truth is that western democratic capitalism works quite well when it stays within western democratic capitalist countries who share similar social and economic values.

The truth is that none of our leaders, political or institutional, dare address the real problem which is that the world economy has to be balanced across all sectors between all economic areas. It does not make sense socially, economically or strategically to have all the worlds production at one side of the planet and all its consumption at the other.

Without some form of control and regulation to redress the balance the current crisis will only get worse and the flow of capital will continue to haemorrhage from west to east as we print money to repay the loans made to us by China. If unaddressed the danger is that the credit crunch will turn into a credit crash and not just a depression but a super depression which will see the catastrophic collapse of the economic system as we know it.

Historically, the situations like this have resulted in war.

NOW IS THE TIME FOR ACTION. REDRESS THE BALANCE WHILE WE STILL AVE THE CHANCE.

Always On Broadband! We're always given the measure of quality of Broadband in speed, but what about consistency of service. I find my broadband fails and redials about 2 or three times an hour, it was more when I was with BT, but it's still not very good. How about ipm-ers revealing the redial rate of their bb supplier?

Forget the world economy, forget the war on terror. There is a far more important news item, and it looks like the BBC are trying to cover it up! I can't find a mention of it on the BBC news website anywhere!

The item? This morning at 9am we lost a few seconds of the news and the first 8 minutes of Desert Island Discs. No explanation, just a very "lively" piano piece, an apologetic newsreader and then deposited half way into Desert Island Discs with no introduction to the guest and no idea as to his first record!!

What have the BBC got to say for themselves? I demand answers!!!

    (I'm not over-reacting too much am I?)

You asked yesterday for OUR news. So here goes. This week I wrote the final sentence of the final chapter of a book I had put off writing for many months. Next week I hope to become the grandfather of identical twins. Both news, but in different ways!
I am an ex-BBC correspondent who appeared on PM scores of times, even going back to the breathless Bill Hardcastle.

    Has he gone mad?

If Teddy Kennedy is well enough to come over here and drive to the Palace to be dubbed, he could employ Jacques Cousteau as his driver.
