Morning photos.

Eddie Mair | 13:43 UK time, Monday, 10 November 2008

What ARE iPM listeners up to at 0545 on a Saturday morning - besides listening to us? We've been sent lots of photos.

Keep an eye on this blog all week as we post more:

"The Line Clear Dictionary creeps on towards publication, as may be seen in the photograph (actually no more than a snapette). Also visible is a working cover for my new edition of the novels of Jane Austen. Well, it doesn't have to be railways all the time. Many thanks and regards, George Timcke"

"Taken at 05.54 on 8 November. Rather than wake the whole household I treated myself to a lie-in. Regards Richard Keane"

"Making salsa for breakfast. Avocado, sardine tomato, coriander, red onion, lemon juice, olive oil, chilli. Patrick Robbins"

I've got 60 watt, coiled coil tungsten filament bulb almost the same as the one owned by Richard Keane, is that some kind of a record?

DIY (1) - No, it's not a record. It's a glass container filled with inert gas that provides light when an electric current is passed through it. A record is a thin plastic disc carrrying recorded sound in grooves on each surface.

    They're quite often confused.

What I want to know is what Richard and DI were doing in my bedroom at that hour.

    And why I didn't notice.

Mind you, my lightshade/shade/wotevva you call it is an attractive shade of deep coral, so that lets me off

    What...like a fluorescent tube?

"A record is a thin plastic disc carrrying recorded sound in grooves on each surface"
    What...like a 100 metres sprint record?

MGL (7)- Nah. I left the '60 watt, coiled coil tungsten filament' bit out as DIY knew that already.

And there may be a disc with a sound recording of Usain Bolt's marvellous run in Beijing, but I think it is unlikely. Most of that type of stuff is done digitally now.

Please don't get confused by the news that Rolf Harris is about to re-release his big hit "Two Little Boys". That of course was a criminal record.
