Hometown: Noeva is a 21 year-old singer-songwriter from Hertfordshire.

Style: Noeva was surrounded by Motown music from an early age and it’s had a strong bearing on her sound. She has also been inspired by Michael Jackson, Queen and Bob Marley and there’s no doubt these strong, iconic vocalists have influenced her powerful and melodic voice, which is right at the heart of Only One.

You need to know: When you’re telling all your friends about Noeva, forgot the ‘e’ – her name is pronounced ‘Nova’. And she is certainly making a name for herself through her collaborations with artists including Wretch 32, Paigey Cakey and fellow BBC Introducing artist, Double S.

Supported by: Noeva is no stranger to the BBC airwaves. She has been championed by BBC Introducing in Beds, Herts and Bucks, where she took over the show with a live session earlier in the year. She has also been played by DJ Target,  MistaJam, Twin B and Sarah Jane Crawford on 1Xtra.
