Time for our first Radio 1 playlist track of the year. In case you've forgotten what this is all about, each week a song by a BBC Introducing artist gets selected for the Radio 1 playlist. The track then gets played across daytime shows including Sara Cox, Greg James and Scott Mills. This week it's Yorkshire band Jacobean Ruff and Family. Get to know more about the band and listen to Family below.

Style: Put simply, the six piece group play a lot of instruments very well. From the banjo and mandolin to the flute, cajon, guitar and keys, it all comes together beautifully and their debut single Family is sure to be well received by fans of Mumford & Sons, Laura Marling and Edward Sharpe. And if that wasn't enough, just wait till you hear Sophie Pearson's vocals - even the stoniest heart will melt.
You need to know: All of the band members study music, which probably explains why they are so darn good at it.
Supported by: Jacobean Ruff have had plays across BBC Introducing shows on BBC York, BBC Leeds and 6 Music.
