The latest name added to the BBC Radio 1 playlist is that of Izzy Marie Hill, whose track Chuck Norris (yes, full marks for that name) takes up the weekly BBC Introducing slot. It means Chuck Norris gets a play on daytime Radio 1 shows including Greg James and Scott Mills. Have a listen and let us know what you think in the comments below.

Hometown: 19 year old singer songwriter Izzy Marie Hill is from Leicester who has been writing, recording and rewriting tracks at her LE8 home for three years.

Style: Armed with her guitar, Izzy delivers waves of good vibes amid her succinct tales of the ups and downs of teenage life. It's unflappable pop-Americana beaming out of the East Midlands and a refreshing take on the style of music made so massive by pop giants Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

You need to know: Izzy released her first album, The Other Girl, back in October 2011. The tracks were supplemented by a series of homemade videos, including one for Lovestruck that has over 250,000 views.

Supported by: Izzy has been using the BBC Introducing Uploader for a couple of years building a relationship with The Beat/BBC Introducing in the East Midlands. Not all of the tracks have made it on air but plenty have and you can still watch her session for the show on YouTube.
