Each week a BBC Introducing artist is selected for a spot on the Radio 1 Playlist. This week it's Lancashire band Aquilo and you will hear their track You There on daytime shows including Fearne Cotton and Scott Mills. Listen to the tune below and read up on this very exciting band.

Hometown: They’re from Silverdale in Lancashire.

Style: Their dreamy electronic pop has seen comparisons to The XX and London Grammar.

You Need To Know: Although they started out in different bands making grunge rock and metal music, they’re now making wistful, beautiful piano-led music. They’re playing on the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury.

Supported By: BBC Introducing in Lancashire are big fans of these guys and Huw Stephens made them his ‘BBC Introducing Tip of the Week’ earlier this year. Lily Allen also mentioned that she was a fan during a recent interview.
