Nine of the acts playing the BBC Introducing stage This Sunday at Reading Festival, we are bringing you a live stream from our stage for the first time.
From 7pm, we will be broadcasting on the BBC Reading and Leeds Festival website for two hours featuring interviews with acts, highlights from across the weekend and three full sets.
Dog is Dead return to the BBC Introducing Stage after first performing for us at Glastonbury in 2010. They’ve come a long way and we are delighted to have them back.
In between sets, Ally McCrae and Phil Taggart will introduce highlights from the other acts that are performing across the weekend alongside interviews with some of our key performers.
All in all, it’s a pretty exciting moment for us and all the acts involved. We have 28 bands, producers and singers playing on our stage across the weekend, all nominated for this opportunity by their local BBC Introducing show. Along with our stages at T in The Park, Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Manchester Jazz Festival and Glastonbury, it’s an amazing chance for these acts to make an impression on a festival crowd.
On top of the live stream, we will be putting two tracks by each act live on the BBC Reading and Leeds website and our YouTube channel along with photos from their set. Keep an eye on Twitter too for updates from across the weekend using the hashtags #bbcintroducing and #bbcreadingfest.
