This week’s BBC Introducing slot on the Radio 1 playlist is taken up by Animal Noise and Baddow. The track will be played across the station’s daytime shows this week and as you can see from this BBC News article, it’s a pretty big deal. Listen to Baddow below and share your thoughts on the track in our comments section.

Hometown: Animal Noise are singer Josh Sandifer, Michael Bird and Jack Abbott. The trio met while studying music in Colchester.

Style:  Baddow is a gritty acoustic dance track that pulses with energy. Quite simply, you are powerless to resist Sandifer’s hearty cries and the frenetic strumming that builds to the verge of popping point. Baddow features on their debut Run Loose released in March 2012.

You need to know:  We filmed Baddow at T in the Park and you can watch it on our website right now. It’s just as good live… if not better.

Supported by: The threesome are championed by BBC Introducing in Suffolk who put the group forward for their T in the Park slot and recommended them for the Radio 1 playlist. They’ve also been played by BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens and recorded a session for BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson.

We heard Animal Noise on the Sara Cox show and then heard it again on Greg James. Really like this track. We had a listen to their album and it is great. Love the singer's voice and the rhythm section sounds great, very exciting. More tracks please radio 1.

Heard Animal Noise yesterday on Greg James show, have followed this band around for years and they never fail to amaze and excite me with their talent (and they can really can play those instruments). A live show is to be seen!!!! As they can whip the audience into a frenzy. Greg James' comments were wonderful to hear as they truly deserve it and a great bunch of fellas!!!!

It makes my blood boil that Animal Noise are not shifting large units of records on a daily basis... they are the saviours british music. It should now be BBC's job to help these mofo's get to the upper echelons of super stardom... if this demand isn't met in the next 12 months, I'll start listening to Heart FM and watching Coronation Street instead of flying the flag for the Eastenders.
This isn't a threat as Ive already programmed it into my Sky Remote and Car Stereo in preparation. Please don't let me down....

When I first heard Animal Noise, I assumed they were huge. I was pretty shocked finding out they're a relatively unheard of band (outside of the Colchester area) so it's great hearing them on Radio 1. Seeing them live was insane, they know how to please a crowd - mostly through seeing them have fun on stage and really getting into the songs themselves. Love em! Great music.
