This week, we have Plasters, Glitter and Glue on the playlist by BBC Introducing artist Emily Burns. The track will be played all over BBC Radio 1 daytime including on Greg James, Huw Stephens and Early Breakfast with Dev. Listen to the track at your leisure below and be sure to share your thoughts in the comment section too.

Hometown: Emily is originally from Livingston in Scotland before recently moving to London via Rugby.

Style: Plasters, Glitter and Glue is a short and very sweet pop song displaying Emily’s amazing ability to deliver catchy lyrics over a super fun and memorable melody. Aged just 18, it sounds like Emily has been creating pop pearls for years… probably because she has.

You need to know: Emily says she was inspired to aim for the top after watching Jack Johnson and now cites Corinne Bailey Rae, Stevie Wonder and Ed Sheeran among her influences.

Supported by: Emily is more than familiar with BBC Introducing having been supported for years by BBC Introducing in Coventry and Warwickshire. Thanks to their help, Emily attended a BBC Introducing Masterclass in 2012 and last July, performed on our stage at T in the Park. You can still watch a couple of her tracks here.
