Last week BBC Introducing in the West broadcast the first ever BBC Introducing visual radio show. It was a bit like normal radio, but with pictures.

Video Made the Radio Star profiled the best new music in Wiltshire. You can watch the whole thing here.

The programme highlighted the importance of online music videos in developing a musician’s career and featured an interview with local artist and BBC Introducing star Gabrielle Aplin, someone who has had incredible success as a direct result of utilising the power of the internet.

Video Made the Radio Star included interviews with unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar musicians. Richard and I recorded interviews in five diverse locations around Wiltshire. We spoke to Matthew Kilford at Inglesham Church, Faye Rogers at her house in Haydon Wick, Old Colours at Swindon's Old Town Bowl, Gaz Brookfield at Marlborough Downs, and Super Squarecloud at The Museum of Computing.  There are pictures of the best bits of the show in this gallery.

Also, last Thursday, Richard and I previewed the Video Made the Radio Star film at the Vic in Swindon with a load of musicians.

BBC Introducing in the West partnered with BBC Points West to produce this two-hour film and radio show. Thanks to Jack, Jez, Simon, Jeremy, Chaz and co. for their help!
