This week, Radio 1 will be playing Noah by Amber across its daytime shows. It's the BBC Introducing track on thestation's playlist and is rewarded with plays by Fearne Cotton, Scott Mills and Huw Stephens, among others. Have a listen to the track below and then watch them perform it live on our stage at Reading Festival.

Hometown: Amber are a London-based band who came together while studying at Nottingham University.

Style: Noah was a real stand-out moment at Reading Festival. The lead single from their debut EP is an epic, positive track which Huw Stephens likened to the all-conquering work of Bastille and The 1975. Pretty good company, then.

You need to know: Have a look at Amber's glorious cover of Imogen Heap's Hide & Seek for another indication of why the blogosphere are going so crazy for the quintet.

Supported by: Alongside plays on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show, Amber are constantly bigged up by BBC Introducing in the East Midlands.

Find out more: Head to our Reading and Leeds site for some more live footage from the band and then follow them on Twitter and like them on Facebook to become a fully fledged fan.
