Start your week in the right way by listening to the latest BBC Introducing track to be added to the Radio 1 playlist. Getting airplay across a load of daytime shows are We Are Fiction and My Dreams Are Haunted. Listen now and then let us know what you think of the track in the comments below.

Hometown: We Are Fiction are an alternative rock quintet from Peterborough. The group have been around since 2007 but the current line-up only took shape in 2011.

Style: I was lucky enough to be at Radio 1's Future Festival last week and saw a cracking short set from Mallory Knox. We Are Fiction are in the same exciting vein, getting the mix of screamo, post-hardcore and melody just right. My Dreams Are Haunted is the perfect shot of adreneline for those days you just can't get out of bed.

You need to know: We Are Fiction also feature on our BBC Introducing Picks for 2013 free download. Their equally epic track Sail On is part of the 29 track giveaway - get it while you still can.

Supported by: If the BBC Introducing playlist spot resulted in an Oscars style speech (there's an idea), We Are Fiction would definitely thank BBC Introducing in Cambridgeshire for supporting a number of their tracks and bringing them to Radio 1's attention.

Find out more: Head to their Facebook page and become another one of their thousands of likes. Also, if you believe everything they say, their live shows involve 'nudity, acrobatics and dog piles'. Tempted?

This band is excellent. They are tight. Great vocals. Solid drummer/The song is radio friendly and
is modern in style for it's respectful category/genres/harder rock/. It would sound cool live for sure.

This is shockingly poor. Can I resist reference to the 'dog piles'? Scream-no-no.
