It’s fitting that Huddersfield band French Soul Party hit the Radio 1 playlist as the summer dares to show its face in most parts of the UK. French Kissing is the soundtrack to your sunbathing… or at least mine.

The rhythm of French Kissing is what makes it so moreish. The dynamics of the stop-start guitar and drum sections will remind many of Foals but there’s plenty more on offer including basslines and synths that appears in all the right places, a heartfelt vocal from lead singer Alex Headford and, lest I forget, ace use of the cowbell.

French Soul Party are giving away French Kissing for free this week (w/c May 28th 2012). Just head to their Soundcloud page to take full advantage.

Follow them on Twitter and as always, let me know what you make of the track below.
