Tip of the Week: Exit_International - Sex With Strangers

exit_international.jpgThis time last year, our Reading and Leeds stage hosted Not Squares, an unconventional trio with the audacity to present not one but TWO bassists and ZERO six-string guitars. They went down rather well.

Twelve months on, we're suffering from a bout of déjà vu, as the excellent three-piece Exit_International from Cardiff gear up to play on the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds next weekend, also choosing to eschew the mighty axe in favour of duelling basses.

The band was formed by workmates Fudge and Scott (formerly of Midasuno), and with the addition of Adam on drums they've played support dates with In Case Of Fire, The King Blues and The Computers, attracting the attention of BBC Introducing in Wales's Bethan Elfyn along the way (read Beth's interview with the boys here).

This week, we're rather enjoying the track Sex With Strangers from their EP of the same name (out now on Undergroove). If you're into noisy alt-rock bands like McLusky and Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster, this'll be right up your street:
