last year the red button did not work for the BBC Folk Awards programme which was disappointing. Will it work this year? or am I to be disappointed again? Appreciate an answer before Weds night.

I am sorry that the decision has been made to take the Read Hear Pages and Community Pages off BBC Red Button Digital Text in the next few weeks. For those without internet access, both were useful services to have at the touch of a few buttons.

And it is odd that pages 1040 and 1050 should be discontinued by the BBC seeing as it is two people from the CSV Action Network who edit the content for those pages rather than the BBC Red Button Text Services team.

BoltonLane, thanks for your comment. Last year, there was a technical fault which meant Virgin viewers were unable to watch the live coverage, but the highlights became available the following day. We hope you enjoyed this year’s coverage of the Radio 2 Folk Awards, highlights of which continue until Friday 8 February on Red Button.
