@Dave & Bill: We're sorry you were disappointed that the snooker was not on throughout Saturday. Red Button has a very committed Moto GP fan base and we were contractually obliged to cover the Moto GP Qualifying: Austin session that day.

Last October the video streams on Red Button were reduced from 5 streams to 1, as part of the overall savings the BBC has had to make as a result of the BBC licence fee being frozen from 2010 for six years. This is the reason why some viewers, who in the past would have had access to a choice of screens, no longer have this option.

This weekend we have alternative snooker coverage on the Red Button billed for Saturday 10am-2.30pm & 6pm-11pm and Sunday 10am-11pm. More info here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/17151954

There has been no World Championship Snooker available on the red button so far this weekend, that I've seen. If BBC tv channels are only going to broadcast in the usual afternoon and 7.00-7.45pm slots, with an extremely late highlights programme that's not watchable until the following day anyway (last night's highlights broadcast didn't start until well past midnight!), then I don't understand why more red button coverage isn't available? In recent years this has been one of the strongest features of Snooker on the BBC, being able to choose a table and watch entire matches uninterrupted and I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated this year that it no longer appears to be available.

Also, the red button listings say it is available but then asterix it to say it's not. Either it is or it isn't but please be clear on what you're advertising as available content!

Well it was not on the red button during the day. Neither is it on the red button now and I want to watch the other table. I understand the red button is on at 1600 - 1645 what about the rest of the time??? Ridiculous

Am I missing something, or is there a good reason why the (faster) wheelchair athletes in the Marathon couldn't start before the elite women? It would eliminate the kind of overtaking collision that occurred today. Surely the way its currently structured just makes it an accident waiting to happen....

World snooker is NOT on the red button..So the duty Editor does not know what she is talking about.
Why?? is the snooker not on the red button as in previous years. Very angry about this, I always watch all of the world snooker from start to finish. Already missed almost an hour due to bbc2 taking coverage off for a repeat of Eastenders. Missed some of Ronnie O'sullavan's opening frames.
