Went to a stunningly good intimate Newton Faulkner gig last night. All in aid of his new album 'Rebuilt by Humans' which was out yesterday. He is superb live and a very talented bloke. His gig wasn't without a few technical problems though. He tried to use an old fashioned cassette as his backing band but the tape seemed to be a bit strectched and was therefore out of tune.
He then played 'Dream Catch Me' and a string on his guitar broke. He wasn't having the best luck last night but he seems a really nice guy and totally won the crowd over. Even the traditionally docile Producer Neil was clapping along - for about 10 seconds.

Managed to blag entry to Newton's launch party and must agree with Greg, that Newton is the ultimate professional. Seen him several times now and nothing ever phases him at all. On top of that he's always amazing - how one guy with 2 legs, 2 arms and 1 mouth can do what he does is incredible.

I saw him a couple of years back now, breathtaking talent! A very very underated musician. I can't wait to hear his new album!
