David Garrido in Australia...

Greg James | 06:53 UK time, Monday, 30 March 2009

The BBC have got the F1 coverage this year and it was fantastic.  (of course I have to say that, but it's also true).  The boat has very much been pushed out.  Have a look at the BBC F1 mini-site.

I had David Garrido live from Melbourne on the show today giving his take on the weekend's Grand Prix action.  Have a listen again here.  He was on just after 6.  I asked him to send me a photo of what he could see from where he was broadcasting from.  Look at some of his web work from the last couple of weeks here.

Instead, he sent in a picture of himself:

Looking fly though...And emulating his idol Alanis Morisette.  (One hand in his pocket. Ask your parents)

I wondered what he looked like. It really was an exciting opener to the season even though I'm flipping knackered now from -2- early mornings -and- losing an hour ! I could sleep for the rest of the day. I thought the newsbeat guy would be on the plane home by 6 last night but not so then ? Nice work if you can get it ay Greg ?

    Riddoz! Loving that video!
He'll end up having another holiday soon haha.

I'll have to listen back to the bit I feel asleep through this morning then.

Haha love the Alanis reference! His job sounds great, flying out there and having a mini holiday while watching something he loves
