Things that should have been planted out last weekend
Whoa I've worked out how to download pictures. Unfortunately they are not of Berryfield.
No, these are things are I should have planted out over the long weekend, but the rain kept me in.

Monty has gone. The swallows have moved into the tool shed.
Actually Simon sings. . . to the birds. Under the guise of Springwatch, we asked Simon King to come to the garden and look at birds, bees and other things that buzz, creep, crawl and leap around the garden. Simon King is lovely.
Right, here is this year's tomato list. It's far from perfect, much because I have eyes bigger than the plot (but never bigger than my stomach when it comes to toms). I've not had great germination with some of the F1s and I can't say why as they have all been grown in identical conditions. On the whole though, I think its a good batch. I waited and sowed much later than last year and this has paid off as they are growing with the season rather than crawling out of their pots.
I'm knitting a scarf. It's the colour of new hornbeam leaves, a fresh soft green that says I'm new and growing. It is hard not to be thrilled by life when it's this fresh. Everywhere, everyday something new is appearing. It doesn't matter how many times you've seen this before it still causes spine tingling excitement.
