Friction Introducing - Sunny Kokaine

This weeks Friction Introducing artist is one for the club peeps.  His musical vision is simple - but oh so deadly!  Take sixty percent Bassline, and mix it in a bowl with forty parts Bollywood, then add a liberal sprinkling of Watford attitude and you're nearly there.

Sunny Kokaine is a perfect example of what Friction Introducing is all about.  Three weeks ago I didn't even know his name and hadn't heard his music.  I'd played a bit of Bassline on the show but not enough for it to register with most of my listeners.  Then Mr. Kokaine sent me 'Bollywood Bassline' via my inbox address (friction@bbc.co.uk) and three weeks later he's being spun here, there, and everywhere!  Big Up all you bedroom producers and thanks for the music...x
