So I asked you listeners what we should do for the BBC's Comic Relief night. Many suggestions included me getting dressed up as an Auntie-Ji or doing various filthy things to my self. In this episode I talk about winning the UK AMA 2009 for best radio show!
Last night the Friction show won in the best Radio Show category at the 2009 UK Asian Music Awards. It was an award that I dedicated to the Amazonian Radio warriors who have pulled the show (and me!) together four times a week for the last three years.
Last week Tru Skool (as in Specialist & Truskool) dropped in to launch his new album with Kaos Productions. As per usual this slightly difficult and quiet producer didn't say much - but still managed to let his brilliantly constructed music fill in the gaps. The album is another quality product with enough pure desi vibes as well as phat bass and beats to keep the dance floor happy.
Here is this weeks Top 5 ,and each track is a light shining into Desi music's darker places in 2009.
