BBC ID - the new comment system
The BBC has a new blog sign-in called BBC iD. If you add a comment from now on you'll be prompted to upgrade your account(s). You only have to do it once and it should be quick.
One note of caution though: if you've got multiple BBC accounts, you'll only be able to upgrade one of them to BBC iD using your preferred username and email address.
If you have any questions or need a hand, you can get help over at the BBC Internet blog

Dear Alex,
Believe me - you would not have wanted my comment YESTERDAY!
But steelpulse is back in the game - sort of. lol
Subject: Banks reveal details of sell dash offs
Anagram: Kin baffled - falsehoods averse - stalls
That belongs on the thread above but I have absolutely no comment to make that you could possibly print. On the City and certain elements therein.

Only upgrade it once? I've had to sign in, then follow the links then confirm FIVE times since the change, despite setting "remember me" and NOT deleting cookies, etc.
The new system was rolled out as a "beta" by the looks of it - how very Microsoft to push something before it's been made to work properly!
This is the same comment as I made on VDs blog, where the same entry has been made. On another blog entry Bowbrick has admonished me for posting the same or similar comment more than once - but what does he expect if the blogs for two separate programmes that the user may wish to follow and "interact" with cover the same topic, albeit in slightly different ways? Are our opinions less valid for one programme than the other? When we had the messageboards there was one index where you could see what topics were already available for comment (assuming the OP gave it a sensible, relevant title) and duplicate threads were removed. It is a "house rule" that there could only be one thread per topic but that seems to have been ignored for this new system. Yet apparently expressing our opinion twice, once for each separate programme, is spam and OUR fault!!

Further to the above and Bowbricks riposte to me on another thread, I should point out that the same Alex Murray has posted the same thing on two seperate blogs. So, is he to moderated for spamming, too, then...?

Tempus, the reason I have posted it across more than one blog is because it forms part of the roll-out process.
A similar message has been posted on every single blog across the BBC to ensure that all our audiences across all our blogs are informed of the changes and what they involve.
Some people may not follow all our blogs and so, if this message were only posted on the Breakfast blog, those who only read the Victoria Derbyshire blog might not be aware of the changes.
As stated in the post "If you have any questions or need a hand, you can get help over at the BBC Internet blog"

Brilliant, after going through hoops and jumping hurdles, teh Earl hath returneth.
Now for my next trick. The process seems to have derived from some closet Software Junkie, whom hath nothing better to do apart from come up with annoying interrupts, so today at work the Earl had to remain silent as the CON-Formation email was sent home and I cannot access it from my coffee cup and footstool.
Still, I will find a method for updating my name shortly!
