Madonna and child - again

What's wrong with adopting children from another country?

Madonna is in Malawi hoping to sign the adoption papers for a little girl. In 2006 she adopted her son, David, from the same orphanage, and said she hoped her actions would make it easier for others to do the same.

She's established a charity, Raising Malawi, which aims to provide help and support to orphans in the African country, but is being criticised by some for using her wealth and celebrity to take advantage of a poor country.

One thing that has to be noted that no matter what the demerits of Madonna's adoptions, she is offering and will offer these children a far better future than their parents imagined. A lot of self righteous people should, restrain themselves from speaking. i doubt beggers on the street, i do not care who gives me help or what their motives are as long as i'm fed! and my health is not at risk

i'd rather have food than culture, an extended family (who in all likelihood aren't bothered) and a healthy environment. I support the adoptions and believe other motives lie beneath criticising madonna

I think Madonna is doing a great thing. Left in Malawi this child will have a very poor quality of liife and irrespective of her money i think Madonna genuinely cares for this child and will love and look after her.
