Amanda Peak's interview
Amanda Peak - whose two sons were killed by Ipswich player Luke McCormick's dangerous driving - says the club should apologise to her after midfielder David Norris celebrated a goal at the weekend by showing support for his team-mate. He appeared to make a "handcuff" gesture.
Hear her interview below.
The interview caused quite a response from the audience. Here's a selection of the text messages we received.
What a brave woman why doesn't she have the right to appeal against that drink drivers sentence.
That poor lady has me in tears on my way to work. Ipswich should take massive action against this idiot! Footballers just dont get it! Mark in ipswich
As an ipswich fan of 30 years we have always been a family club. If town are to uphold this tradition they should sack norris. He is one of our best players but what has been done is completely unacceptable. Simon. Telford
I am an Ipswich fan based in manchester and norris must apologise as must the club. Whatever his private message two boys have lost their lives. I have two young boys and i cant imagine the pain the family are going thru. Amanda peak deserves an apology unreservedly from my club. Ian.
What a very brave lady the club should take swift action from craig
The Meaning of the word MURDER is KILLING WITH INTENT! Drink driving, does NOT fall into that category!
My heart goes out to Amanda and her family - the whole thing makes me feel sick to the stomach. However, it does occur to me that the Daily Mirror is guilty of exploiting her grief to sell newspapers, as this seems like a bit of a lame story in truth. You get the feeling that newspapers employ people to create stories and to stir up peoples emotions. Dan, Bury

Luke McCormick has never been an Ipswich Town player as stated by 5 live in this article. He played for Plymouth Argyle. I am a Town fan and do not want to be associated with McCormick or Norris. If Norris has expressed any support or sympathy for his 'friend', I would want him sacked from my beloved football club. I send my sincere regrets to Amanda Peak, a courageous lady bravely struggling to come to terms with this unspeakable tragedy.

I can't express my sympathy towards the family, i could never understand their grief but what the media has subjected is not only a pack of lies but even more hurt to hinder the family's healing process.
The media should be the ones to apologise as they have twisted and mutated a mere gratitudial gesture towards a physio-therapist - NOT Luke McCormick - for saving his football career.
It's appauling how everyone will so easily shred David Norris to pieces just because the media have said something that wasn't true and everyone immediately believes it, what happened to independant thinking?
Everyone knows that what you read in the paper itsn't the most reliable!
It's also 'funny' how the interviewer reports factually how David Norris 'admitted' it was for McCormick, then later on 'that it was a private message for.*faulter*.... to whom it's not clear' quoted from the mirror.... so which one is it? clearly some one is not getting their facts right... did they even talk to Norris in the first place or just decide that was what it was, therefore it is.
I am not forgiving McCormick, and if David Norris has offended the FAMILY then an apology would seem kindly, but for 'fans' and other people not involved to 'slag' him off is out of order, they may feel they are merely being concerned but making a huge mishap of it; saying he should be sacked is not neccessary, for one the longer this carries on the longer it will affect the family and if the demands are pulled through you are destroying an innocent man's life, job and love, has any one heard of empathy? Try thinking of how that would feel, people shouting guilty at you when you've done nothing wrong.
Don't condemn a man to hell before the true facts are laid out.
Againg my deepest sympathy towards the family, may the love between you both keep you strong and heal your pain.
