What did you learn at the weekend?
Richard Bacon told us this morning he learnt at the weekend how to shear a sheep, while in Perthshire.
Which led us to ask what you learned at the weekend?
I learnt that a bowl of conkers in a room keeps spiders away. Pam in Portsmouth
I have learnt that I dont get excited when my girlfriends mother comes to visit for 3 days (today) john in chester
I did the 26 mile london bikeathon and learnt that padded shorts are a must. i was also overtaken uphill by a rider with a prosthetic leg and learnt the challenges we set ourselves are nothing compared to others. Tony on the a3 near guildford .
I learned that telling a girl that she looks like Claire Grogan can get you a date. Muzz
I learned this weekend that when you're sat in the sunshine, watching a local rugby match, with a beer in your hand & a beautiful ex rugby-playing, kick- boxing fashion model cuddling into your side, who is totally devoted to you - even a 39yr old with 3 previous failed marriages can realise that it's neve r too late to find true love for the 1st time!
I have learnt how much fun a plastic sheet, water, washing up liquid and a long grass bank can be for a water slide. I ache this morning though. Chris, 3 4, Blackpool
I learned that when you are 63 years old and going to a "cool and groovy 60s" fancy dress party in London, it is very embarrassing if you go there by tub e! Roj Wholey
I learned my wife had run off with the man next door...and they took my lawn mower. Brian in Ramsgate.
I learned that attempting a cartwheel after consuming more than the recommended daily limit of wine (Sainsbury's Basics, Rose, since you ask) will result in removing most of the skin from your hand. Gill Alexander Director The Smarter Consultancy
I learned that not doing any training before taking part in your first triathlon is perhaps not the most sensible strategy. Mark in Upton upon Severn

That I can do anagrams, Shelagh and Richard. Try adding "ful" to "bowl" in a bowl of conkers in a room keeps spiders away".
But doing angrams just wastes time when I could be doing something useful - like getting back my life.
And as for Dwayne Chambers - congratulations on his weekend win but well I learnt that I suspect he has learnt nothing about being responsible for his own actions. But that is just me.

I learned that it seems to take an awful lot of pundits to cover athletics from Perry Barr. Gosh how many for BBC2? eight? and 5 live? maybe 5 more at least 12 - definitely overkill. And my licence fee contributes to everyone's expenses oh .....

Morning Shelagh and Richard
Wall-E? The latest so called film craze. That and Paula Radcliffe - not knowing if she is to take part in the Olympics until the last moment?
I think you at that Radio Station are all involved in a cliche which nobody mentions. I call it "A Short Circuit to Silent Running"
Wall-E is a direct steal from those two fairly old films. Short Circuits Johnny Five is Alive! The robots look similar too.
And Earth - what is left of it, is being tended by a robot in an Outer Space arboreteum in Silent Running.
Talking of Silent Running - Richard - more of Shelagh would be appreciated - so Shh!
