The smell of the greasepaint - the roar of the crowd!
There's a bit of a row in the studio this morning about musicals. Do you love em or hate em? We're told they are more popular than ever - but opinion in the 5live studio is split.
Richard said "I often think I hate musicals but I see them and I like it"
Matt said "can't stand em" .
Dominic - who's doing the Money News today "It's just not normal what they do on stage"
What's wrong with musicals? The fact that they exist - that's whats wrong with them! Ed in Aylesbury
My wife's auntie got us tickets for phantom on broadway when we went to new york some years ago. Spent a lot of the performance asleep despite the whooping and hollering of the local eejits who clearly enjoyed it more than us. Neill from birmingham.
Only 1 thing worst than musicals - opera! Ady from Adlington
Musicals. You could not pay me enough money to sit through one. i would rather have my teeth filled than be subjected to two hours of showing off. John Leeds

Morning Shelagh and Richard.
Can your Sports Reporter just "yawn" and I will know the latest segment of the Rionaldo or Lampard sagas has happened. Their club loyalty proved a myth unless it is completely on their terms!
Four years not five, Frank? Of hundreds of thousands of pounds a month? This is bad how? You can forecast your fitness in half a decade?
My own transfer to Finland has been put on hold. Tuonela United have swanned off temporarily but I am still here. Sitting on the Bench. Oh no. That is someone else isn't it - allegedly!

How good to hear Jimmy Perry this morning! I am a recently retired teacher and am presently very busy enjoying going into Yorkshire Primary Schools in full Home Guard uniform teaching them about World War Two through songs, stories and drama.A very popular element of the performance is the story of the Home Guard where the pupils appreciate what it was like to 'prepare for action' with no real weapons or uniforms! Although sometimes figures of fun , I also point out that if these volunteers were ever put to the test they would have displayed the same bravery and courage that was reflected in the rest of the country. The pupils also enjoy singing a host of World War Two songs with the appropiate actions! Sometimes I hear from the older generation that children today have no knowledge of the war years. Believe me, pupils have great knowledge and understanding of the emotions and feelings of the time which is evident though my visits.
