Richard Jackson | 06:01 UK time, Tuesday, 29 January 2008

Plans are underway for a massive public sculpture in the south of England - to rival and maybe dwarf the Angel of the North.

It will be built at Ebbsfleet in north Kent - on industrial land near to the new station for the Channel Tunnel rail link. Any ideas?

Obviously it should be a white horse. They are carved into hillsides all over the south of england and of course the Invicta, the prancing white horse, i s the badge of Kent from Valerie Statue? How about a giant jelly baby to represent those soft "safferners"? This statue should be of Bodiccia, build it near Dovers white cliff. Similar to the statue of liberty. It should represent the nation & be proud. loz hereford A huge £ sign for sculpture, because thats all that concerns people in south. Rob in sunderland Ebbsfleet monument... A massive white van, plus driver, texting 5 Live...to complain about something Steve Tamworth The statue in the south should ae a giant cowboy called "woody" coz the one near newcastle quile clearly is a copy of Buzz Lightyear. Shaun in York Hi ideas for the southern statue. How about a trio of three leaders that shaped the 20th century. Churchill thatcher and blair like our own mt rushmore. Scott
