Good morning...

A state of emergency has been declared in in Jamaica, as Hurricane Dean hits...

The power's off, communications are out, and the island's under curfew; we'll hear what's happening, and where Dean is heading now.

Also today, the online pharmacies who'll sell you medicines without prescription, and, a new season, a new row about refereeing...

    Jamaica in peril from Hurricane Dean. I wished I could feel more connection with that island as I understand my father hailed from there but it is just another area of the world that has been hit by bad weather.

    I feel concern but no real personal connection as that whole area battens down the hatches. I will listen out carefully though. I was please no-one was hurt in that Okinawa airport incident - so I used it to keep my mind alert.

    Yes - I claim my Jamaican half when they are beating the England cricket team - which is useful. One side of me cannot lose - we normally draw!
