The search for Madeleine continues...

Shelagh Fogarty | 06:42 UK time, Tuesday, 15 May 2007

Good morning...

Police have questioned 3 people in connection with the abduction of Madeleine McCann. Forensic teams have searched a villa close to where she was staying.

The police federation say home office targets are forcing them to make ludicrous arrests. Should the police be arresting people who are in possession of a egg or schoolgirls who are chalking on pavements?

And in football - the managerial merrygoround has been in overdrive over the 24 hours. Stuart Pearce went yesterday, Sam Alladyce is set to be confirmed as Newcastle's today. And as ever let us know what you think of the stories we are covering - text us on 85058, email breakfast@bbc.co.uk or got to the breakfast blog via the Five Live website.

Same old (two) song then? The answer to the possible leadship of the Labour Party plus this country. Now Michael ("Edge of Darkness" actor I recall) Meacher has stepped aside - for enviromental reasons perhap?

But at least Andy Stewart's constant query has been answered at last. John McDonald - wheres your trousers? Gone to polish Gordon "Brown's Boots"

    Hello,

I have just seen on the news that the parents of Madeline have flown to see the pope leaving their twins in Portugal. Is it only me who finds this behaviour astounding? Yes we can all be quick to condemn actions of others, but I would suggest that if you were going through such an ordeal, the last thing you could bear was to be parted from your remaining children. This action is beyond belief.
