Choice - or chaos?
We've spent a lot of time in the last couple of weeks talking about secondary school places. It seems getting your child into the school of your choice has never been so fraught.

We were told hundreds of thousands of people are likely to appeal against the school place allocated to them by their local authority. Many folk it seems are already plotting their strategy on sites like this and this.
We're interested in knowing about the scale of any problems.......

Hello, It just seems to me that society is becoming like the description of hell I was taught as a child. There is enough food, and there are long spoons. In hell everyone is hungry, in heaven well fed. In hell people try to feed themselves, but the spoons are too long, in heaven people feed (help) each other. With schools, as with everything else, if people cooperated and worked together to make it better for everyone, it would get better. Instead everyone seems to want to grasp the 'best' for themselves, so more people miss out.
