Meet Kevin
On Friday morning, Shelagh and Nicky will be joined on Breakfast by Kevin Peck.
We picked him from among all the listeners who answered our request for one of you to be a guest presenter. Thanks to all of the people who put their names forward. Listen on Friday morning to see if Kevin was a good choice!
He's a Wolves fan and top goalscorer of Puma FC in the North Gloucester League (Div 1).
This is what Kevin wrote to us:
Hello, my name is Kevin Peck, I am a 35 year old Deputy Nurse Manager from Gloucestershire, the Forest of Dean to be precise. I am married to Kerry a student nurse, I have two children Kieran aged 11 and Riley aged 9 1/2. I would love to be involved in the breakfast programme. I listen regularly and think the programme is great. Nicky and Shelagh both appear to have something of a a cynical side which appeals to me, after serving in the armed forces and then leaving to do various crap jobs, I have something of a world weary approach, my wife calls me Victor Meldrew and I dont think shes joking either. I decided that I had to turn my life around, for my wife and kids sake, as much as my sanity (quite how nursing came along I dont know)

Best to you Kevin and BBC Five Live Breakfast.
Kevin - you,re doing fine. It's good to have someone from the most beautiful part of England - the Royal Forest of Dean on Radio 5 my favourite station. Breakfast and Drive are great programs and keep us up to date in a light hearted frindly way.
Well done Kevin, you sound fine and thanks to those other 2 that are sat with you they seem nice people. It's good to know that there are still some Wolves fans out there!!
Hey it's going really well! First time,Wolves fan, joining two 'professionals' not easy Mate.
There must be a chance for us Bury fans then!
Ow bist old but!
greta to a hear the Forest mentioned nationally.
How about a rallying call to arms to all those Wolves fans before the biggest match of the season on sunday?

Guest presenter slot is not working for me. Two's company - three's a crowd. Leave it to Nicky and Sheila and the regular specialist reporters. I don't understand the added value of a regular listener sitting in the studio.
I think the guest presenter has added a nice twist to the usual show. It's very nice to hear a wider perspective of recent events and how national news is viewed locally.
I agree with DeeAnn. Hearing someone that usually sits on our side of the radio has added a personal quality. I now feel like part of the breakfast team.
I listened on Friday morning -Kevin, it was good to hear someone not just as polished(in a nice way honestly). It brought another dimension to the show. As a serving soldier myself it was a bonus that you were an ex soldier - that did come through.
The best of luck mate.
