His Art said one thing, his head another....

Back in January on a particularly cultured day out I went to the Tate Modern in London and heard a track by Roll Deep which accompanied an amazing work of art, as part of Tate Track Other artists who've made a piece of music inspired by art include Klaxons, Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers, Graham Coxon, The Long Blondes and Lethal Bizzle - all in the Tate and available to listen to. They wanted an extra track though, and so invited unsigned musicians to record and send in a track. Online votes picked the top 20 from the Tate Tracks Myspace site, and today down the AMAZING Tate gallery it was announced that Kotki Dwa won with their track La Beau Charcutier. Well done to them, they did a brilliant session for the show recently, and are such an exciting band. It's an interesting competition, has brought a lot of talented people together and all details are available form the links on this blog. I'll be Playing the winning Kotki Dwa track on Wednesdays show, straight after they play my night at the Social in London!
