The Steers have some anthemic indie tunes that they're gonna be pushing on us for the forseeable future. I went to see them play the Barfly in London this week, and they have some tunes just as colourful as their cartoon t-shirts. Formed in Cardiff, their debut single is out this week called Rewind/Repeat on the Kids label, the very same one that brought us the first Wombats singles. Steers were in sesison on Radio 1 Wales on Thursday, and are suportng Stereoponics very soon. Yup, the Stereophonics.
Also saw ace LA hip hop/electro producer Daedelus play (the fourth time I've seen him play in about a month!) and he was fatastic, weaving beats and melodies, rap vocals and spoken word to create this epic dance experience. Supporting was unsigned grindcore mash-up producer Wav. I'll be playign a track of his on the Introducing show this week.
