2011 Voting: The scoreboard and analysis
2011's Eurovision Song Contest was a year in which ALL of the pre-competition favourites (including France, Hungary, and Estonia) crashed and burned, and where there was no runaway winner. In fact, Azerbaijan's winning tune - Ell/Nikki's 'Running Scared' - actually got the lowest winning score for nearly 10 years.

The National Jury votes were cast after watching the performances of the 2nd dress rehearsal on the evening of Fri 13th May - perhaps explaining why many countries saw such a vast discrepancy between their televote and jury vote scores. Denmark, Slovenia and Austria scored much better with the Juries than the public (up to 3rd from 18th, up to 4th from 22nd and 5th from 24th respectively), whereas Spain dropped from 16th to 24th, the UK fell from 5th to 22nd, and Russia plummeted from 7th to 25th.
