Week commencing 3 October 2011
Stand by me?
Caught disposing of the evidence after his latest attack on Phil, Ben gets a stern talking-to from Christian. Can Christian rein in the maverick Mitchell? Looks like he's the perfect shoulder to cry on at least...
When Eddie sees the opportunity to unlock a brighter future, Vanessa seems a safe bet to help out. Let's hope for their sake that Vanessa and crime are a winning combination. Okay, you probably saw what we did there...

Extra Extra! Read all about it! The Inside Soap Awards winners have been announced!
EastEnders have walked away with a handful of shiny gongs, including the sought-after Best Soap accolade. Hurrah *smiley face*!
Here's a list of our other wins, in no particular order...
Best Actress - Jessie Wallace
What a year its been for our Kat Moon. Jessie's performances since arriving back on our screens last September have blown us (and you!) away. Big congratulations Jessie!
Best Young Actress - Maisie Smith
Maisie Smith has skipped away with the Best Young Actress award for her portrayal of says-it-like-it-is Tiffany Butcher. Both her on and off-screen mums must be so proud!
Best Wedding - Afia and Tamwar
Our most recently married Masoods had the (two) weddings of the year, and now have a gong to prove it! Congratulations Afia (Meryl Fernandes) and Tamwar (Himesh Patel) (for the third time)!
Funniest Performance - Tameka Empson
Last, but certainly not least Tameka Empson (Kim Fox) was laughing all the way to the stage tonight to pick up her award for the funniest performance.
So, your fave soap has done it again. Many of the cast members and storylines fought off tough competition to win a host of ISAs. And lets not forget the Best Soap win (have we mentioned that already?).
Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote!
Give us your tuppenceworth or equivalent intellectual currency on the following hot topics of the week!
Tyler hearts Whitney
We love to love tra la la.... would you fall for Tyler Moon's cheeky charm if he pulled a romantic stunt like this for you? AND if you could woo a Walford resident - which one would you choose and how would you snare them?
Masoods in crisis
Things are infinitely more serious over at the Masoods, where Zainab is struggling to figure out what happened on the night of her 'overdose'. Can Yusef escape suspicion? And how will Masood take the shock news?
Meanwhile, Ben's happiness is short-lived when Patrick is in the wrong place at the wrong time. And when Phil gets involved, everything spirals out of control. What should Ben do?
And finally, if you're not on either side of a secret this week, your name's not Moon. There's Michael and Vanessa's clandestine deal, Eddie's secret son - not to mention the fact that Tyler is still in the dark about Anthony betting against him in the fight. Let battle commence!
Ahead of our regular Tuesday selection of preview pics (this time for week commencing 3 October), let's find out what's happening in Walford this week...
At a high-profile council event, a pompous official makes a pass at Mandy. Cake in hand, Ian makes it quite eclaire that the man's lewd remarks really take the biscuit!
We'll be adding lots more spoiler pics to the blog on Tuesday 27th September, so don't forget to check back!
After nearly 5 years on the Square (that's roughly the same amount of time as Wham were together, fact fans!) George Michael obsessed, Alice band wearing, 80s pop revivalist and cheese fanatic Heather Trott will be leaving our screens next year. Her exit storyline is top secret but actress Cheryl Fergison had this to say:
"I've had a wonderful time at EastEnders, it's been a privilege to be part of such an amazing programme and working alongside a fantastic group of people. I'm really excited about exploring new opportunities."
Which leads us to wonder... What's your favourite Heather moment? My vote = rooting through (what she thought were) George Michael's bins... Tell us yours!
WARNING: This blog post should not be read by anyone who is infuriated by mentions of Christmas in September
It is 92 days 14 hours 24 mins 10 secs to Christmas (as I write this)
Which also means it's 92 days 'til Christmas Day EastEnders!
It is also NO DAYS 'til the filming of festive season EastEnders because that's what's happening on the set right now. Check out the tree in the Square and tingle at the prospect of the sensational seasonal drama that will greet us once December rolls round... And while you're there, check out the Albert Square webcam, Turpin Road webcam and George Street webcam
Week commencing 26 September 2011
Hell-Ben(t) on destruction
Ben's clearly not a happy customer as he trashes the Minute Mart in front of poor Patrick. Wonder what's set him off?
Give me a sign
Tyler puts his faith in Fatboy's advice, as he puts on a show of affection for Whitney. Will she get the message?

Best and Sexiest Male
*Wolf whistle* Scott Maslen is up for two gongs - best and sexiest male for smouldering in the guise of Jack Branning
When Kat Moon stomped back to the Square last September, drama wasn't far behind. So it's no suprise that Jessie Wallace is up for Best Actress this year.
After numerous steamy rendez vous onscreen with Max *and* Greg this year, Jo Joyner has earned her Sexiest Female stripes with this nomination.

The pair, who play Kat and Alfie Moon, arrived back Albert Square last year and have seen some powerful storylines since their return.
Commiserations to nominees Steve John Shepherd and Jacqueline Jossa, very strong contenders in the Best Soap Newcomer category, who lost out on the night. We're sure we'll see them on the podium very soon!

We hate to say I told you so but...

Tyler takes to the ring for the big fight. Will Whitney be knocked out by Big T in his boxing shorts? Will Tyler reign supreme? And will Michael regret setting his brother up in order to get back at his dad?
Michael discovers Eddie's secret... and may want to erase the past month of Machiavellian scheming. Can they put the past behind them? Or is it too late for a true reconciliation?

EastEnders viewers are in for a special treat in September. As a prelude to Amira's return to Albert Square special scenes have been filmed for the Red Button that will begin to answer some of the questions posed by her dramatic exit from Walford in 2010.
As he plans his life together with Christian, Syed's frustrations begin to grow as his attempts to re-connect with Amira and seek a divorce meet with no success. It is only with help from an unexpected source that his hopes are revived and Amira's controlling father Qadim is left with the decision as to whether he brings Syed back into his daughter's life once more.
Before viewers discover the full impact of Amira's return, two mini red button episodes will disclose Amira's world away from the Square and the repercussions that these events might bring to Syed and Christian's relationship. Caged in her father's home, hidden in disgrace...what secret will she reveal?
These special scenes can be seen directly after EastEnders on the red button on the 6th and 8th September.
Both Fatboy and Grace are in for a shock in a couple of weeks as Mercy’s sister, Faith, unexpectedly arrives in Walford with a message from her sister.
Grace had sent Faith back to Nigeria to get back on the straight and narrow, but as you will see, she’s anything but! Her arrival is set to send shockwaves through Walford.
Faith can be an incredible amount of fun, she has a cheekiness that charms most people. But she's not nearly as bright as she thinks she is and can sometimes be reckless and downright dangerous. Her actions have some major repercussions and severely damage her relationship with her grandmother Grace.
But before long she runs into Donnie and Ava, and together the unlikely trio set about making their presence in Walford known, in spin off EastEnders: E20.
The first episode of EastEnders: E20 will be broadcast online on 20 September 2011. Meet the cast in our exclusive video!
