Will Ian get payback from Phil?

OH. MY. DAYS. Ian 'wannabe' Beale-ionaire finally stood up to Phil 'hard man' Mitchell on Friday after years of torment, humiliation and most recently... blackmail. The catering entrepreneur took great delight in giving the Phil-thy fella a piece of his mind over a stiff drink. Go Ian, go Ian...

... although, to be fair, his arch rival was writhing around the R&R floor, unable to string a sentence together and in the midst of having a heart attack (which proves he's actually got a heart! Shocker.)

Never mind Phil's heart attack, what's with the luminous seat?!

Bright and breezily, Ian poured himself a short (and stiff) drink at the bar after walking in on scantily-clad Glenda tending to sick Phil.

After getting rid of his former fling, Ian took great pride in fobbing off the ambulance crew and releasing his heart-wrenching angst from over the years.

Let's be fair, Ian once had his head dunked and flushed down a bog by the big man!

Did Ian go bar-my at R&R for letting Phil come so close to death? What the heck will happen between the pair now?

Will Phil get revenge on letting him get so close to death?

The episode got A LOT of people talking on Friday, as 'Ian Beale' trended on Twitter worldwide. Were you one of them?

Well I know EEnders wudnt be the same without Walford's tough guy but if I had been Ian, I wud have done the same. (By that I mean I wud have left him to have his heart attack ;))

EE wouldnt be the same without it's tough guy. I would have left him too (if i were ian) have his heart attack after all he had done to ian :)

I thought Ian's conscience would get the better of him...but knowing Phil he will have some form of revenge lined up. I would not be surprised if he blackmails him to get his hands on Ian Cafe 'Beale's' or chippie. Now that would be interesting in terms of conflict in the storyline.

i hate ian and phil so i didnt care who won

in my opinion ian should get killed off,hes nuthing but an obnoxious snobby, wimpy excuse of a person

I'm glad Ian gave him a scare at first and then eventually sorted it. Would have been nice to see Phil actually really be sorry and make up with him after all this time. I'm not a big Ian fan but come on give the guy a break after all this time. Maybe it would be good for Phil to see that what he is doing to Ian is the same as the Bullies are doing to Ben and come to his senses. Come on Eastenders, give it a nice twist for a change instead of all the nasty business. (I know... I'm too soft)

I do understand that Ian did what he did,but I would have called for help inmediately. Phil really needed medical help and it is inhuman to refuse that to a human being. In my opinion refusing Phil the help he needed means you're as bad as he is. An yes I think that Phil is going to use this against him. By blackmailing and humiliating him, just for fun. Remember that everybody is telling Ian how good it was that he saved Phil by calling the medics? Well, if Phil will tell everyone what really happened at the R&R, Ian will lose his face. But at least Ian has a clean conscience because he didn't let Phil die. Good for you Ian!
