Many happy returns to Doctor Who's former Executive Producer and lead writer, Russell T Davies!

Seen above with the Tenth Doctor, David Tennant, during the shooting of Turn Left (which is repeated tonight on BBC Three!), Russell recently returned to Cardiff for Wizards Vs Aliens. The new show is being filmed for CBBC at Roath Lock and follows the adventures of two boys - a secret wizard and his scientist friend - as they attempt to thwart hostile aliens. Russell described his new series as 'a wild, funny, thrilling and sometimes scary collision of magic and science fiction.'

Given that Russell has previously been behind triumphs including Torchwood and the resurrection of Doctor Who in 2005, we can't wait to see it and know it's going to be brilliant!
