This is lovely and Brilliant. I was lucky enough to see this at the Peacock and Gamble Emergency Broadcast in March. There's another one at Kings Place in London next Week (May 26th) and in June. Can highly recommend this and their weekly podcast off Itunes. Cheers - Rusty.

Great stuff, is this going to be on TV at all?

I heard about this and have been waiting ages. Very funny and promising start, when is it on properly? Oh and do I get a discount for watching this - I have a colour licence?

Genuinely terrific, absolutely love the gentle tone of it and the slight air of melancholia, compliments the laughs beautifully.

Can we have more Ed and Ray live action please BBC?

This is really is a cut above. Featuring the funniest duo in British Comedy working today, Ray Peacock and Ed Gamble, this is a comedy-short classic that should be expanded to a full series. If you haven't heard their podcast then you should go and do so immediately. Just Google Peacock and Gamble and hours and hours of untamed, voracious and downright sexy humour awaits you.
As for this, although it does seem to be purely from the mind of Mr Peacock it features both the boys and Ed displays some fine acting chops here. Hilarious throughout but also displaying a gossamer thin fragility and lightness of touch as we are allowed a glimpse into the mind of that unsung hero of comedy, the warm-up man. At times reminding one of Anthony Hancock at his most poignant, Ray brings all his personal experience in this profession to bring us a character that has all the depths required to carry a series and more.
With their profile rising all the time and a run of much anticipated Edinburgh Festival shows this summer, 2011 could be Peacock and Gamble's year. Let's hope so, the nation need to know what they're missing out on.

Brilliant stuff. I've been obsessed with this pair for ages now, and would urge anyone who hasn't done so already to check them out live. If that's not immediately possible, their podcast is easily the best thing you can get for free. Not just on iTunes, but anywhere.

This was really, really good. Subtle, original and hilarious. I love Ray's character in this and you can see the potential for some very funny interaction with Ed's "Paul Harrison". I hope we get more, and on the TV too. Well done guys.

This was great. The exchange over cutlery in particular was very well observed, and Ed's delivery of 'spoon' and 'potato peeler' was excellent.

Jason Dawson's character reminded me of the self-obsessed character from Extras, and I guess there is an element of thematic crossover with the central character too, although this had a more satisfactory dark tone.

Would love to see this developed further.

Ray is a master and I really hope that this and the Edinburgh show catapult him and Ed into the success they deserve.

Been a fan of Ray's work for years and this short film shows how talented he is. Ray and Ed work brilliantly together and the film is poignant, funny and brilliantly acted by them both.

There is literally no excuse why Ray Peacock isn't on the telly more. Britains hardest working warm-up man is also one of Britains funniest comedians. He and Ed should be stars. Come on BBC pull your finger out, give these boys proper jobs and make honest men out of them.

Been looking forward to this for what feels like months upon months. Absolutely ecstatic that it's up now. Will be watching it very, very shortly - prepare for the niagara falls of gushing praise.

Absolutely brilliant. Really well written and performed with wonderful depth, rather than simply looking for cheap laughs. I wish there was more programming of this sort.

I laughed a LOT. Absolutely brilliant - hilarious with a touch of pathos. Similar to (as others have mentioned) Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant.
The idea of a sitcom based around a warm up man actually seems very good, and it's hard to find a setup that hasn't been done.
I would love to see more of this/them.

Fantastic short, loved how well balanced the comedy is with the darker aspects of the plot. As is said in other comments, slightly reminiscent of extras. Very well written, nice to see some intelligent comedy around.

Despite already being a fan of Ray and Ed, I was surprised at just how well made and genuinely hilarious this was. I don't mean that to sound like too much of a backhanded compliment, just hadn't seen anything much of theirs other than standup. I am and will continue to be dumbfounded as to they don't get the recognition they truly deserve.

Keep up the great work guys.

Loved it the first time I saw it at the Emergency Broadcast and watching it now reminded me how good it is. Love how Ed looks like he is about to burst out laughing during the menu scene. Hope to see more from the talented Mr Peacock

Been a big fan of Ray and Ed and the podcasts for a while now. Nobody knows who they are over here in the States yet, but hopefully this awesome piece of work will catapult them to stardom.

Finally! I've been waiting for this! Very, very nicely done, as always. One never knows whether to laugh or cry with Peacock & Gamble, and I love that they leave the audience out on a limb in that regard. Ray's facial expressions and double takes are spot-on; the juxtaposition between the pathos in Ray's predicament and the utter absurdity of Ed's utensil quest is priceless.

Genuinely Brilliant. The BBC definitely need to make more stuff with Ray and Ed.

This is a wonderful little piece, very bitter-sweet, but wonderful. I've spent so long listening to Ray and Ed's Podcast and them do stand up it's a change to see them acting, but they are great performers. I would love to see more of the same.

This is beautiful, funny and poignant. Come on BBC there's a series in this - don't let us down. Ray Peacock is a funny man and when coupled with Ed Gamble there's an extra frisson of comedy that the wider world ought to see. This is what I want my licence fee to be spent on. Get to it.
