Morning everyone, or good day, or good evening, or how about just plain old hello, how ya' doin' - all well I hope.
Who wants to be a game show contestant ?
Ha ha, what a palava all that was, absolutely fabulous experience to see how it all works. And to be sat in "the" chair feeling "that" pressure. It's exactly as everyone tells you it's going to be but times a thousand - maybe even more.
Now here's the thing I have learnt to enjoy such moments whereas before I used to endure them, or try to beat them into submission, or look forward to what's next, that's not what it's about and I'm so glad I finally realised as much.
I'm such a fan of the format of Millionaire, having spent years of my life writing similar albeit nowhere nearly as successful conceits, gambles, penalty shoot outs etc. for the good old telly. So it was a real honour to meet Mr. David Briggs yesterday, the man who invented the whole shebang. He used to be a radio producer but now owns a castle in France and has his own jet.
Now where's that folder with me old formats in.

The organisers are 100% making sure there's no ticket touting or selling on E-Bay which a 100% agree with!!!!!
But terdee ave even gotta take photo id, me printed off line vouchers unique ter me and me card a used ter pay for the tickets AND even then when a collect me tickets a bit later they will fix me wrist band ter me for the rest of the dee so a can't sell it ter anyone.... talkma bout strict!!!!!!!

Good day all,
I'm am sticking with the principle that persistent pays off and going with my usual ARF request.
Its very mild here today, bunnies are out, rock buns a baking in the oven, back door flung wide open and for once, no muck spreading, only the lovely smell of home baking wafting through the house.
Have just got family car back from the sick bay, so pockets are officially empty now.

Wow, wondered what was going on?!...I tend to read these blogs like a newspaper...from back to front. It took a while to realise why Bingo-Star-ere was being so repetitive?!
Just back from doing a mercy dash to school to pick up middle son who'd had his fingers trapped in a door, OUCH!!...thankfully he's still got them all so he's still on track for being a concert pianist when he leaves school,lol :)

DF - You can alter the cursor speed on the mouse, via Control Panel (assuming you are using Windows). I can't bear it if the cursor has a life of it's own!
BTW it's always best to read the blog top to bottom, as if you think this is mad, wait until FNWC (Friday Night Wine Club)!!

just a thank you to you all for keeping me cheerful during the last few weeks - although you probably didnt realise you were!!! have been running around after my mum who has been poorly(still dodgy but recovering) hubby is working away in sunny Brum and my daily dose of this blog has kept me going lol glad you all had a great time in Liverpool and good luck to those on the phones next Friday for CiN, and Bingo have a great time tonight and like alot of peeps will look forward to your posts tomorrow ~ although not too many jokes as I will be lurking from a hospital bed while I wait for an injection in my back :(

Now then the rubber band on this 'ere tinterweb nonsense snapped on Tuesday in County Kildare so I've bin' incommunicado an' forced to listen to Gerry Ryan as I've bin' drivin' round Ireland behind horses' bottoms, starin' at battered posters declarin' DON'T ELECT ANOTHER TURKEY; VOTE NO TO LISBON.. and roadsigns pointin' upwards. Plus I'd say I HAVE to be the holder of the world record for hours spent with total lack of blood circulation to the buttocks without actually contractin' gangrene.
Yous are in for a treat tomorrow, CLP. I'd be bringin' the helicopter if I were yous.
Rest assured I shall try to ensure CLP shall get Clodagh'd tomorrow, traffic, tag and hurricanes permittin', but I shall be wearin' the rainhood, Beez. In this rain the wet pansies an' a soggy pith helmet is SO not a good look.
But I have a confession. Am hopin' I don't bottle it. I mean, I know I'm a bit of an eejit, like.. but am also rather shy these days. And I don't want to scare poor CLP, I'm sure he thinks I'm capable of boilin' Noah's bunny.

Good evening one and all, man, how cool would it be to be on WWTBAM or to have even written the format for the game, get your folder out CLP you never know, you may have the next big thing in there.
Was gonna write last night but I was so bushed from the night before.............. NIA was the place to be and myself and the amazing MWa were revelling in the atmosphere of the amazing band called MUSE.
The stage set was so awesome and it was the first time I had been in the middle of the floor, amongst 5000+ other revellers, doing nothing and being bounced up and down, only then to join in and bounce like a punk possessed, it ROCKED. They were tone perfect, the lighting was awesome and they belted out every tune to perfection. They are and will be reveered for many years to come, one person even calls them the modern day Pink Floyd.
Again so glad everyone enjoyed Liverpool, and just for Diva, glad you enjoyed Birrrken'ed x

What can I say about the weather that is actually going to get past the modders, not much so best say nothing at all.
Had a wonderful detour trying to avoid all the traffic that had to come off the M5 at Bridgwater as the motorway had to be shut.
Hope whoever was in trouble is ok.
Enjoying Hugh Fearnley Wotnot cooking up his seasonal delights.
Makes the dark miserable nights a bit cosier somehow!!
Could do without all the Christmas ads in between mind you.

Believe it or not, they are going to Scout camp w/e of 5th Dec so have said no to decs til after then.
It was his tennis coach he wants to give the present to and that's because we came up with the brill pressie of insulated mug with hot choc & marshmallows etc. Boy1 thinks as it is cold now they should have the pressies early.

MTF once drove there in the dark - floods and trees down - the works! Kissed the drive when I got there! I did have a shogun though! One part the road had been washed away - drove through a torrent! Don't think I'll use my car this week-end - be in Mr B's 4wd methinks!

Not usually here at this hour but MrsW and ankle-biters are all adreamin' of all things bright and beautiful so I thought I'd pop in for a late night coffee.
Had a full MOT today and was allowed out after!!! Body fat was ok, weight as I wanted, BMI good, blood pressure good, heart rate and strength good but...
..I'm an inch shorter than I used to be!!?? Hilarious.
Perhaps I'm an inch wider, bloomin' gravity!!!

Fantastic show again CLP as always!! Is it just me, or does anyone else find it strange that a collision on the A12 involved so many folks up to something dodgy?!....not one of them was just going to work, or off for a game of golf, or ...
Still, suppose it'd make for a pretty boring drama if that was the case..although can't quite figure out if it's boring or not, I just hope that after tonight's final episode I don't sit there thinking it was all a waste of time!!
Thanks to the CLP bloggers that have welcomed me as their friends on fb. My mission is to spread the net..thinking of contacting my nephews and nieces 'cos I know they're on fb, but what if they reject me 'cos it might not look cool having an 'old fossil'/uncle as their friend, ha ha!!

Liveforthe ..... we've been watching that all week, it's the last part tonight and I still don't really give a hoot about it. We keep thinking something exciting might happen, but nah. Still with Paul McGann for the eye candy tho - lucky waitress!
Well, it's chucking it down here today. If I didn't know any bettererer I'd think it's monsoon season. But you'll be pleased to learn that me and the world's coolest hat made it to work in one piece.
I downloaded loads of 80s stuff off iToons last eve so can treat lady boss to the delights of Gary Numan, (very early) Human League, H17, New Order etc today. She'll love me all the more for it, I am sure!
Currently listening to Simple Minds Greatest Hits - forgot just how bloomin' good they were, and now might even do some dodgy Jim Kerr styleee dancing around the office!

Back to the apparently to, so all is good.
Busy morning so far, have made a scrumptious broth, now preparing potatoes for the old classic of bubble and squeak, and then there will be a beef stew with dumplings to be consumed sometime in the near future.
I guess winter is well and truly underway.
New work place is going rather well. Busier than the other place, and only 5 mins in the car so cuts my day down by at least an hour. All well and good until the new store opens, then we're back to a 45 minute commute each way. Still, make hay while the sun shines and start putting those extra petrol pennies away.
Hmm, I thought I had a lot to say, but apparently not. Maybe will be inspired later.

Listening to Tel's report of the concert last night, and then hearing Shirley & Dizzy singing Diamonds are Forever - I was laughing AND crying in the car - you know when something makes you so happy you just have to cry?? It sounded like the most A-MA-ZING concert EVER!

BTW - if they do top tenuous on the McGann brothers - they used to go to the school next to mine and we used to have joint school discos. They were much fancied even then. I was friends with a girl who danced with one of them (can't remember if it was Paul or Mark though).

...and now waiting for my n&n to let me see what they're up to...they know I won't snitch 'cos their dads (my brothers) stopped talking to me...but that's a long story which requires a few beers!! When I'm on the golf course, my mates all know the way to get under my skin and beat me...all they have to say is "..have you heard from your brothers recently..." Grrrrrrrr!!
