Robbie, Christian and My Real Life My Name is Earl Moment
They say, you should never go back, but there I was this morning returning to the place I used to call home - Number 1 Golden Square - the home of Absolute Radio nee Virgin Radio.
The lovely Christian O' Connell invited me on his show to have a chat, and the hour just whizzed by - for us at least.
Everyone's so good nowadays, Christian, George Lamb, Simon Amstell. I feel the industry is really on fire at the moment and for all the right reasons.
And you know, going back was no great shakes, I felt a deep sense of nostalgia this morning and none of it felt bad. In fact, there was a definite lightness about my shoulders - who would have thought ?
Me boook is officially at Number 2 in the best seller list by the way. I bet my old English teacher can't believe it ! Thanks everyone.
Have a great day - already at work, first official brekkie show meeting at ten o'clock absolutely right now. Exciting.

Chris, I was so looking forward to this interview, I decided to not go to gym first thing and instead, I sat in my car to hear it so I wouldn't get interrupted. It was great. It was so interesting, for those who missed it, i'd recommend trying to catch it on the podcast. It must have been quite weird being there after everything that happened.
Have a great day one and all

Just in case anyone missed the end of the last blog...
We were discussing, finding what day of the year you were born on and throwing it into a search engine to see who could come up with the best claim to fame on the day they were born.
Please carry on, has been interesting so far.

Morning All,
I did it again and posted this on yesterday's blog!!
Loved the shed chat last night!
On the day I was born President Johnson signed an executive order abolishing the draft exemption for childless married men between the ages of 19 and 26 apparently - riveting stuff!! And Sonny and Cher were No. 1 with I Got You Babe, which obviously my mother was singing at the time!

Well done on being number 2 Chris, that's not bad going for a first timer!
I am a Friday's Child myself, but it would appear the only event on the day of my birth was an American event - The National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act signed into law by U.S. President Lyndon Johnson. Couldn't find anything else!
Am back on here now, couldn't get on for a few days but found my way eventually. My middle man has had the dreaded flu but is back at school now. Fingers crossed for the rest of us as we're away next week in Wales for a family gathering and I don't think passing flu around is on the agenda!!!
Think I posted this on a couple of years ago but just found it again and it made me laugh (hope it gets past the Mods, I have taken out a couple of the more risque ones!):
Economic Models explained with cows
SOCIALISM: You have 2 cows, and you give one to your neighbour
COMMUNISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and gives you some milk.
FASCISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and sells you some milk.
NAZISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both and shoots you.
BUREAUCRATISM: You have 2 cows. The State takes both, shoots one, milks the other, then throws the milk away...
TRADITIONAL CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.
Your herd multiplies, and the economy grows. You sell them and retire on
the income.
SURREALISM: You have two giraffes. The government requires you to take harmonica lessons
AN AMERICAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You sell one, and force the
other to produce the milk of four cows. Later, you hire a consultant to
analyse why the cow has dropped dead.
ENRON VENTURE CAPITALISM: You have two cows. You sell three of them to your publicly listed company, using letters of credit opened by your brother-in-law at the bank, then execute a debt/equity swap with an associated general offer so that you get all four cows back, with a tax exemption for five cows. The milk rights of the six cows are transferred via an intermediary to a Cayman Island Company secretly owned by the majority shareholder who sells the rights to all seven cows back to your listed company. The annual report says the company owns eight cows, with option on one more. Sell one cow to buy a new president of the United States, leaving you with nine cows. No balance sheet provided with the
release. The public buys your bull.
THE ANDERSEN MODEL: You have two cows. You shred them.
A FRENCH CORPORATION: You have two cows. You go on strike, organise a riot, and block the roads, because you want three cows.
A JAPANESE CORPORATION: You have two cows. You redesign them so they are
one-tenth the size of an ordinary cow and produce twenty times the milk.
You then create a clever cow cartoon image called 'cowkimon' and market it worldwide.
A GERMAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You re-engineer them so they live for 100 years, eat once a month, and milk themselves.
AN ITALIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows, but you don't know where they
are. You decide to have lunch.
A RUSSIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You count them and learn you have five cows. You count them again and learn you have 42 cows. You count them again and learn you have 2 cows. You stop counting cows and open another bottle of vodka.
A SWISS CORPORATION: You have 5000 cows. None of them belong to you. You
charge the owners for storing them.
A CHINESE CORPORATION: You have two cows. You have 300 people milking them. You claim that you have full employment, and high bovine productivity, and arrest the newsman who reported the real situation.
AN INDIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. You worship them.
A BRITISH CORPORATION: You have two cows. Both are mad.
IRAQI CORPORATION: Everyone thinks you have lots of cows. You tell them
that you have none. No-one believes you, so they bomb you and invade your country. You still have no cows, but at least now you are
part of a Democracy....
AUSTRALIAN CORPORATION: You have two cows. Business seems pretty good. You close the office and go for a few beers to celebrate.

Howya chaps from Terra Firma once again.
Ah Christoff yous will always be N0.1 on MY bestsellers' list yous awful eejit. And hear hear Deev, I was thinking the exact same thing as your opening comment as I read today's blog. I well remember that our CLP used to get a load of flak for 'gloating' about his success. Which rather betrayed the ignorance of those who bandied this around; on the contrary, CLp has never forgotten his roots or the contribution to his privileged lifestyle by those around him. Even at the height of his bonkersness, his attitude, to me, was always the 'Chase your dreams' one that I always try to insipre in the GD and others. There are few things more carcinogenic to the spirit than the 'Don't get ideas above your station' attitude.
So these days and at my greatly advanced stage in life, the said GD now quotes this back to me and lifts me up with inspiration and encouragement. Hey, I swear she thinks there's NOTHING I can't do, bless her; and so now I find myself plunging in where my previous angels have feared to tread, and moving beyond most of those people who have pulled me back. You have to do this. Ergo I now have much more self-belief than I ever had, but a lifetime of conditioning is hard to overcome. It's a shame it's taken me this long to think I'm capable of anything other than being the family eejit.
But I bet I'll still mess up the Twitter. Even though the GD and the ex-hubby say it's the perfect vehicle for me; me bein' bang in between a Twit and a Nutter.
Ok. Mountain a washin' to do, by the crin where's me crampons.

Greetings CLP & ALL Bloggie Dudes....
Bingo Star ere......
Lots ter say terdee.....
CLP - Most nice yer going back ter yer rooots.... only question if yer following in the foootsteps of Earl off My Name Is Earl, do yer play drums for The Killers????????
Bingo Travel News - A forgoot ter mention a 'ad a most interesting weekend.... a ended up Sundee night at 10.30pm..... standing in a pitch black country lane in the middle of nowhere talking ter a fully grown cow..... 100% TRUE!!!!!!!!!
Yes az usual it waz all 'appening in the life of Bingo Star!!!!!
A waz driving down a country lane, in rural cheshire, on me way 'ome from work when suddenly a found an escaped cow standing in the middle of the road!!!!!
So a pulled over.... banged me 'azard lights on and goot out ter try and ge tit back inter the adjacent field before it goot 'it by a car!!!!!
Ave noot dealt much with cows before.... well noot the four legged variety.... so a goot out and started trying ter usher it down the road..... all at the same time being watched by about a 'erd of 50 standing in the field all mooing loudly!!!!!!
She just stoood there and loooked at me.... with a blank loook.... reminded me of going inter the 'otel for a job the other week (see joke yesterdee)!!!!
Any way.... a made a connection... and she started ter move.... be it very slowly!!!!!
The only problem a didn't now, know, 'ow the 'eck a waz gonna get 'er inter the field without opening the gate and all the other escaping!!!!!
Luckily the farmer, on 'earing all the mooing late at night, arrived and took over the 'erding operation of the single cow!!!!!!!
Ave goot anoother story involving an animal from the week before too but it's too embarressing ter tell.... so am keeping stum!!!!!
All i'll say..... it's all 'appening dee and neet down those quiet country lanes!!!!!
X-FACTOR - My goodneeess.... a saw the Chezza Cole and whatta performance!!!!! A don't now, know, why the press ave been aving a go at 'er!!!!
They always build em up ter knock em down!!!!
It's obvious The Cole can sing az she goot through the comp a few years a go ter get inter Girls Aloud!!!!!
Give 'er a break.... and a ain't talkin' KitKats!!!!
'er new song iz very difficult ter sing live az it's so 'ighly produced in the studio... all those sound effects and a song continually going from 'igh ter low vocals... a good tune!!!!!
It's grown on me BIG style!!!!
And az for 'er costume.... my gooodneeessss!!!!!
It waz like a cross between a Russian Cossak and Freddie Star with a 'int of The Guerillas bassist thrown in!!!!!!!
Finally - Ave finally joined the FB and banged a few photos on!!!!
Thought a better after getting 'assled ter by the blogger who's name am noot allowed ter mention.... of which a agree with 'er.... am well overdue ter join in in all the FB fun!!!!!
And thought a better before the Liverpool meet so fellow bloggers will be able ter recognise me!!!!!

Hurrah Deev; and there's plenty out there wit your name on 'em, hun.
I'm thinkin' OVER the knee for yourself? If ever there was an over-the-knee top bird it's the Rock Deevster. If yous feel a bit Danny La Rue, try some of the flatter heel ones, even I can get away with them. It's a bit like the rule of cleavage out, pins covered; and vice-versa.
Incidentally, did anyone see Jo Brand on Graham Norton the other night? Had me in a right aul dilemma at first, since I have a huge girl-crush on Jo and also love Jackie Collins. Never read any of her books, like; not really my scene, but love the woman; but I staunchly refuse to watch anything with the ex-missus Andre, such is my disdain. So I watched it with me left eye shut but I have to say I felt KP seemed, just for once, a little intimidated by two REAL top birds.
And I have to say. The last time I saw a sight like that was when me tube a black oil-paint burst in me satchel and went all over me jelly babies.
Oh dear, that's me never goin' to Heaven. Forgive me for I am a dorty sinner with bad thoughts.

Howya Rips!!
Ah bless. Am not worthy.
Yes indeed, Gerry Ryan; that's why I said the latter part of the show; the first part was heartbreaking. That's the thing about said show. One minute it has you disconsolate, listening to some heart-wrenching tales which have you transfixed and filled with compassion, then you'll get a caller with words of encouragement and usually offering practical help, then someone else with a tale along the same lines but with an optimistic outcome; and then, it turns on a pin-head and has you chokin' with laughter. Genius.
Well, see you sortly; am off to refill me horn and compose a song to counteract Les Lacs de Connemara specially for them cheese-eatin' surrender-monkeys.

Hi Seza. No, am back in the Mother Land tonight; finally got back from Cork via Dublin and Holyhead on the late boat about 3am as the fast ferries were cancelled, bummer. Then was up again at 6.30, in Knutsford for 9, back to Renee's just after lunch, fixed the fire, narrowly missed losin' me front teeth on the sticky end of a broom-handle proppin' open the garage door, did 3 loads a washin', unloaded and washed the car, sorted the GD out with a fancy dress costume, and an hour ago suddenly wondered why I was tired and a bit peckish....

Initially, for me at least, Twitter was a means to stalk the most adorable Russell Edward Brand, or Rustyrockets to give give him his Twitter name. My hero.
As the months have gone on, more and more non-famous peeps (friends!) have become co-Tweeters, altho to be hoenst, I still enjoy the medium of keeping up with those you wouldn't stand a chance with on FB. I follow Gok (so wanna be a Gokette, dahlink!), Justin Hawkins, Robert Smith, Robbie, CLP (of course!!), Tim Minchin (comedy genius!), Dylan Moran, Julian Clary, Jonathan Ross, Jane Goldman and a few others. I have to fess that I think some people over-Tweet which can be really really annoying - especially those who comment all the way through things like X Factor, which I have to CloudPlus as Mr Deevs can't abide it!
It's also a challenge saying what you want to say in 160 characters or less!
But that's just me! Still prefer FaceAche to proper communicate with people tho.

I'm with untalentedmrripley on this one.
Give the BNP airtime, that way everyone can see them for what they really are, racist thugs.
No doubt Griffin will appear totally reasonable and plausible, but hopefully the questioning will scratch the surface and reveal what he is really like.
Banning the BNP merely adds to their air of mystery and will have the effect of forcing people towards them.
On the other hand we should not give them ideas above their station, to put things in context there are, apparently, more members of the Scouts in Cheshire alone than in the whole of the BNP

Nic - what's wrong with a bit of politics on here.
Something else for me to offer badly judged and ill informed opinions on.
As for Twitter. I have just been able to both insult and embarass (sp?) Deev.
And address it to both J. Ross and Tim Minchin.
What's not to like? Haha.

Mornin' chaps. Just.
Yup, checked meself out this mornin', ew. Have hung me bell on me mirror, used one a Renee's char-grilled crumpets to sharpen me beak and now I've a nasty welt on me forehead from lividly head-buttin' me reflection. Am off now to shove some house-bricks down the cousin Baz's wellies and thump seven bells out of 'im.
By the way Barney. Agree with yous an' Rips and others that whatsisname should be allowed on Question Time. He now has a couple a yards a rope so I'm crossin' me fingers. I don't think I should watch though, not in this frame a mind, or I'll be carpetin' me bedroom wit sandpaper an' spittin' Trill over a wide radius.
As to the Scouts in Cheshire. Ah no, mate.. that's the cousin Baz stalkin' squirrels with 'is gun, 'is catapult an' 'is woggle.

Oo and Rips. Am on me knees an'; prayin' to St. Christopher that the Deevster doesn't catch up wit yous. There won't be a square inch a skin on your bottom, mate.
And then yous'll know how mine feels after all that tryin' on the thigh-boots on Tuesday.

Rips,
In my experience political "discussions" can quite well end up with rows and falling out, hence not too much politics on here for me.
All,
So twitter is about stalking famous people that you fancy then...anyone know Penelope Cruz's twitter name?...or Anna Friel's?...
