Hey happy dudes of the blog.

Chris Evans | 10:02 UK time, Friday, 23 October 2009

Stunning blue skies around Heathrow as we flash by on our way in to London for an in house on stage staff Q and A with meself and Kirsty Young at BH.

Tired from watching the late QT show last night and up early with yee little one by the name of Noah. Think we may have had the best of the day as the mist was hanging magically over the garden at the same time as daybreak was having one final stretch and a lazy yawn.

I almost feel sorry for politicians on days like today.

Now you good people have a nice weekend now !

A Q&A - nerve-wracking?!?! I used to hate those when I had my recycling job. I could answer most things (girly swot, me!) but there was always some smart-alec in the throng who wanted to out-smart the presenter and show off their in-depth knowledge of all things tree-huggy.

The early morning mist has now cleared here in Essex and we too have blue skies and a bit of sunshine.

Had to chip in on the intimate venue topic.

    Three of the greatest gigs I have seen were in such places;

1987 Guns n Roses, old Wardour St. Marquee.

2009 Chickenfoot in the sweatbox that is the Shepherds Bush Empire.

Can't for the life of me remember the year, but Suede were awesome down in Brighton, first outing post-Butler, so I'm guessing 94ish.

Oh, and I'm rather looking forward to seeing Green Day this weekend too.

Shame it isn't down my local pub.

2, Surely 6 & 7 year olds are all too young to appreciate a big sporting event (see stories above of small children falling asleep at major events) so, tell them you didn't get any tickets then flog them all on Ebay & use the money to buy tickets for something you do want to go and see.

I'm much the same with meat, most of mine comes direct from the local abattoir. Went on Tuesday to buy steak, spent ÂŁ17.52 on 2 nice ribeyes, then ended up buying a piece of french trimmed rib of beef (2 bones, ÂŁ29)and a boned turkey crown, cam to the grand total of ÂŁ71!

Seza, indeed I am, like Rips' gorgeous lady, a fully paid up primary school teacher. However I am now working for the Music Service of the Local Authority (oo that sounds scary) as a roving class music teacher. I see upwards of 680 children a week and I try and know all of their names at least. Some I have taught for 3 years, some are new this year. We do lots of things, but singing more than anything; I'm "performing" wall to wall most of the week, but the plus point is I can leave at 3.30 and have no marking or assessment to do. I love what I do but I like a rest now and then IE NOW!

Rips, hope you are taking the CMM nibbles and wine as she lies in her heap.

Right, going to do a quick hello of people I think are here, then it's back to my very own comfy heap.

Hello: Seza, MC, MTF, BEEZER!!! and AF.

Morning lovely peeps - I say good morning as it is here. I am in not so sunny Taipei having arrived late last night. Checked into my supposedly haunted hotel (Grand Hyatt) but not seen a ghost yet :(

Slept like a baby last night (and don't mean I was up all hours crying and defecating) - i hate being jet lagge dbut by God it is a lovely feeling to get into crisp white sheets after a looooooong flight and no sleep.

Had a lovely breakfast this morning and was stunned to see that the muppet Nick Griffin made the front page here in Taipei for his appearance on Question time - the good news is that most of the coverage seems to be on the really negative reaction that the UK as a whole has given to this matter - so well done the UK...we seem to be a bastion of free speech but also intolerant of racisim - a good showing i think.

Personally I think Nick Griffin needs to be deported to the Falkland Islands (sorry Falklanders - we can move you somewhere sunny like the Caymans if you like) and send all other racists, paedophiles and rapists there - then they can all live together in their little screwed up world.

    Afternoon lovelies

Been awake since 6 in the am of the day. Got up to watch the MotoGP live from Malaysia, and here is where I need the ranty pants, if you please ......

BBC, why why why deprive us MotoGP fans of Valentino Rossi's World Title Winning shennanigans? Firstly, due to rain, the race start was delayed, so rather than delay the 8am REPEAT of Match Of The Day, you switch the MotoGP from BBC1 to BBC2 mid race, ergo ensuring any fans taping the race miss the latter stages of it. Then .... after the race while the amazing Valentino is entering into the spirit with his fans celebrating winning his 9th World Title, you cut short to put CBeebies on!

Now, I love football but you have to admit, MOTD is a repeat. And when the F1 QUALIFYING over-ran due to rain the other week, even flagship Saturday night viewing Strictly had to wait and ran later than scheduled.

So, to switch channels midway thru a race and then cut short the post-race celebrations and interviews is just an insult to the fans who pay a licence fee and tune in to watch.

If you can't cover it proper, Auntie Beeb, then bloomin' well let Eurosport have it back!!!!

    Phew.

So, after the above, bacon sarnies were had, more coffee, and then wellies donned for a 3 mile walk in t'sunshine.

Next up: 1 x lemon drizzle loaf about to to knocked up, and roast porkypig for dinner.
