Dudes and dudesses of the blog. I am blogging off - I think.
Off to launch Ryder Cup 2010 tomorrow. Was s'posed to be today but heli to Celtic Manor grounded due to pea souper.
Playing with Monty and Pavin tomorrow - 11 a.m. And then gala dinner and interviewing the two captains on stage. What a mad fortnight this is turning out to be.
Portugal hols four nights after that and Chelt Lit Fest next Sat night followed by signing.
Gonna guerrilla sign whenever I get the chance between now and Christmas.
Will tweet any good behind the scenes stuff.
Loved Sat Kitchen. Would go on every week if they'd let me. Interesting to hear your Wossy comments - for the record, I enjoyed every second.
I know Jonathan did too and said as much to the audience afterwards. Nothing wrong with a meaty heated debate.

Well what a treat for a sunny Sunday afternoon here.
Are you posting the Friday book signing pictures Chris? Seems a shame to miss all those lovely people off.
Enjoy your well earned rest when you get it!!
Loving the idea of a Drivetime blog meet but 23rd December?? Not sure I can make that as we break up on 24th until January so trying to take off 23/24 could be problematic.

Just a thought though CLP as so many of us live a distance from London if you are going to organise the DTBM (Drive Time Blog Meet) please can you do it as soon as you get back from your holidays so that we can all make the required arrangements.

Hi all, made it to ox safe and sound but the rain was hellish :) No readying for a fun week at work...bath and book on the horizon methinks.
Just wanted to clarify one ickle thing from the last blog for Croc....no cage rattled I assure you bud, just read your back comments is all and thought some of them were a little caustic ... if that is sarcasm then fine as I did not read them in context so that is all.
Sorry to hear you had an asthma attack from the blog! Hope not too serious!
Take it easy and take care of yourself...don't get would up by anything I type...99.9% of it is gibberish in any case and none of it is meant to be harmful...and if it is then I apologies unreservedly..the last thing I would intend.

Evening chaps/chappettes,
Have returned from the brink of really not quite aliveness and I'm pleased to see the blog maintaining its generally cheerful, silly and supportive manner. Also pleased to see some of the wanderers returning.
Altho, now that I'm getting back into the swing it would appear CLP is wandering off himself and therefore I will undoubtedly find myself losing the plot fairly swiftly. Nothing new there then!
Holibob was fantastic, and now in the process of planning the next one. Looks like India, including Ranthambore to track down the tigers, but I must say - Alaska! Very very envious right now!

6 earlies done, 2 days off ahead. Came in from work to plate of roast dinner to die for. (MrsW far too good to me).
Got an assessment tomorrow to work in a different department. It's the same one I passed last year before mucking up the interview the week after. It's a practical 'live situation' assessment. Fingers crossed.
We didn't exchange contracts on Fri so hoping for that to happen tomorrow too. All a bit annoying how long moving takes. This is my 5th or 6th house purchase and it still baffles me how long it all takes in this day and age of high technology. Oh well procedure takes time I guess.
Dec 23rd is a toughie, not sure I'll get the night off at this late notice but wil try my hardest if that is the date.

Evenin' all.
Well blow me down. Stephen Gateley. What a shock. Obviously the news is all over here. It just goes to show, doesn't it; you just never know what's around the corner; life is so short, and we should all simply cherish every minute and thank whatever God you wish for all your blessings. RIP Stephen, and deepest sympathies to all his loved ones.
And to one Kevin McGuire, whom I saw this morning on the news as I was buzzing around, intimating with rolling eyes that he was somewhat bemused by the arrival of the other Boyzone boys in Majorca, can I say this.
IT'S WHAT THEY DO OVER HERE. Show support and solidarity to each other in their dark days after bereavement. It's an act of compassion and it's touching. It's called Paying Respects. I have witnessed the likes of Colin Farrell and Bono not too self-important to turn up at funerals of friends' loved ones, because they see this as important over here. And it IS.
He has evidently had his snout buried in the slimy trough of the News of the World for too long and needs to cop on.
Honestly I'm so depressed by the nastiness creeping in everywhere these days. Why can't we all just be kinder to each other, and less cynical? In fact, like we are-in the main-on this blog.
Ah bless him, there he is again on the news. It's heartbeaking.
I shall be lighting a candle in Cork tomorrow, for him and everyone else suffering the loss of a loved one.
Take care of yourselves, one and all. You never know the minute.

Sorry to disagree laydees but I didn't think Robbie was very good. I expected to be blown away by such a big comeback. His voice sounded weaker thsn before and the song was a bit urban for him. He should stick to the pop where he excels (IMHO). Maybe he was uber-nervous, not sure. He has set such high standards I guess. Hope the album is better.
Also I noticed when he was talking to Dermot he never blinked once!!!!!

hello again all,
Hi Rips, - Chilterns looked fantastic this morning from where I live - lucky old you.
CtD - head on into work at 6.30ish - roads fine at that time ;)
Defo going into spend the morning roaming the corridors of the Natural History Museum tomorrow morning before my meeting, camera going with, so be prepared for some odd pics on my facebook group!
Only a week and a half to go till my trip out the Far East...excitement building and still sooooo much to do.. :)
So - tips for good mornings anyone? - especially Mondays...share the wealth.
I tend to rise early every day (alarm set for 5.30am) and I have as relaxing a start as possible - Sarah Kennedy good for driving you from the arms of morpheus or at least helping you summon the courage to heave that heavy duvet of the bed warmed torso.
Coffee - fresh brewed first thing is helpful, and a slice of toast.
I have one of those thermos mugs so I enjoy a brewski on the drive into work too. If it is clear and stunning I will often stop for 20 mins or so on the top of the hill to enjoy the view and the peace...that tends to be a great start to the day...no rushing around trying to catch up ...and if I tend to be in work 40 mins or so before I should be then I just do some personal correspondence or clear my inbox before the phones start going and then I can focus on projects (like planning my next travel extravaganza!!!!)

5.30 Rob - that's a lie-in!
Alarm at 5am. Mr Deevs up, me taking on the "starfish" position enjoying the bed to myself for a wee while.
Up about 5.45. Coffee, toast (with crunchy peanut butter, it's the only way to go!), breakfast news, quick catch up on FB/blog etc then the ritual of gawjussing ready to face the day.
Power walking sadly on hold as it's so flippin' dark at 6am now, and leaving it til light (6.45ish) leaves not enough time for the other stuff.
Drive to work with iPod on in the car - this morning I was singing my icle heart out to Adam & The Ants - it just had to be done.
Like getting to work earlier than needed so I can ease into the morning and not have to go like the clappers as soon as bum touches chair.
Quiet here today for a change. Can someone poke me at regular intervals to make sure I'm still awake.
Ta very muchly.

I noticed Robbie seemed a bit over alert too yesterday. I'm very fond of him, although he can come across as being arrogant. But he did have big, big eyes.
So far my day has started off quite well, Mr Debbie took LM to school so I didn't have to rush as much. LM asked me to bring him home some ear defenders so that he didn't have to hear Dad and his brother moaning at him. So cute.
May be back soon, just in case anyone misses me :o)

Hi everyone:
Trying to catch up with stuff over the weekend - not easy, but worthwhile!
Just want to say how sad I am that Stephen Gateley has died. No doubt some members of the press will have been working overtime to come up with as much muck as they can find. It's started already of course, and it makes me seethe. I was a huge Boyzone fan, and used to take my daughter along to their shows - she was just a wee tootsie, but she was my "cover"!! "Och, she loves Boyzone, so I just go along for her"!!
RIP Stephen xx
Clodagh # 111: brilliant post, absolutely brilliant. If we could all just appreciate life a wee bit more, we could stop so much ill-feeling that occurs in a lot of our daily lives. Life really is too short - the older I am getting, the more I understand this.
I loved Chris's interview on JR. I thought they both enjoyed it immensely. I just could not stop myself saying to MrS "I have hugged Chris Evans, and kissed his right cheek, and he kissed my right cheek"!! On the fourth time of recounting this memory, MrS said "really? nooooo, you must have forgotten to mention this before"!
Happy Monday, all!
C xx

Depending on shifts, my alarm generally goes off at 4 - 4.30. Up in pitch black, and lights on very low due to mezzanine bedroom. Normally stand on a cat at around 4.45, stub toe on ladder at 4.50 and spill tea on freshly pressed uniform at 5.10.
Shower, tea, more tea, make lunch, feed animals, and in the car with Foo's or Placebo by 5.25. Oh, only after the car alarm going off and waking the family.
According to my shampoo, an apple is the best wake up medicine.

Afternoon all from a sunny Edinburgh,
Well it would appear that I am a little lazy bones... my alarm goes off at 7:30am for work, and I could realistically get away with getting up even later! But I like to be able to take my time getting ready in the mornings rather than rushing round like a blue @rsed fly.
Day off today, am trying to put off doing the post holiday ironing, any excuse will do! Had a nice lunch of sardine puttanesca (home made), am off to my first aqua fit class tonight, looking forward to that but am a bit worried that I'll be unable to move tomorrow...
Never dabbled with Twitter... should I? And are there translations of CLP's tweets for the non golf initiatred among us???
Hope everyone is having a lovely Monday

Just to let you know the match was halved (drawn).
They were playing foursomes, so each player on each of two teams of two people takes in turns to hit the ball. The team to get the ball into the hole in the fewest shots wins the hole. If the same number of shots are taken by both teams, the hole is halved.
They were level up to the 9th hole, and halved the last, so honours even!
Bet that's as clear as mud! ;)

Greetings from sunny Cork one and all.
Made it in one piece, albeit later than planned as I woke up at silly o'clock with a nasty migraine. So only left Dublin at 10 with a head that feels like it's had 2 hours on the fast-spin cycle with a full load a cricket balls.
Ah well. If that's me worst problem at my greatly advanced age I'm a happy woman; anyway, have just stopped off in Cork City as promised, to inspect Rips' handiwork. Ergo have just bin' escorted back to me hotel by the Gardai on account of checkin' the screws in the new H&M with me set a magnetised spanners and me spirit level. I must say, Rips, that shop manager is a snooty so-an-so, was really quite rude and when I told
'er I was just inspectin' 'er laggin' she grabbed me spanner and called the Gardai.
So yous can twiddle yer own bits in future, Rips. I've never bin' bound over before in me life and let me tell yous I'm not fond of it.
Huh.

RANT WARNING!
I've just watched a piece on the news about how the public are going to have to not dispose of as much rubbish in land fills!! I don't know about you but I don't decide what my local council do with the waste that they charge me a fortune through my council tax to dispose of!!!
I think the government should be targeting the packagers not the public. We get so much rubbish from useless packaging (especially on food) from supermarkets. I'm all for re-cycling and here, where I live, I have a green wheelie bin for the garden waste (as well as a composter) a red box for glass and tins and a blue bag for paper (though not card or boxes which I find very annoying) and I fill them all. But the most of my rubbish is wrapped around shop bought food. Surely if companies were made to pay some sort of penalty for over packaging they would find more cost efficient and eco friendly ways of displaying their produce and we would have less waste!!
RANT OVER!!
-x-x-x-

Lyndy, I quite agree with you, we have three full size wheely bins and a bag for papers, which we use properly...what they do with it after is up to them, not us!
On the subject of handbags, I can no longer put my mobile or car keys in mine, having "lost" them so many times. Especially the keys in a rainy supermarket car park!! So they're in my pocket - other than my purse, I'm not sure what else is in my bag, and I again't going to look!!

Lyndy - totally agree. Boots recently changed multi vitamins to 'Bigger Value pack' - bigger hard plastic bottle but less vitamin tablets than the last version.
Clodagh - the reverse nearly happened to my mum. My dad was a GP, and she found a sherry bottle - wondered why he'd left it sitting on the floor, then realised in time that probably not a good idea to open it up!
Can I just ask, though - how is everybody finding the sub? I have tried - 3 different shows - but haven't been able to persevere. Instead, I've found a CLP-like drive time show on Absolute radio. Only problem is that I have to put on the TV and listen through Freeview, so may have to buy a new DAB radio.

Lyndy absolutely 100%, totally, completely agree. Well said.
Over here in Ireland they've been slightly ahead of us in the recycling area, taking to the plastic bag ban with ease whilst we in the UK did nothing but whinge about 'HAVING to BUY bags'... er, no.. that's the POINT, we WON'T be buying bags, we'll be using EXISTING ones. But then having somewhat reluctantly embraced the concept, the supermarkets seem to be paying cursory lip-service to it, and as far as I can see, there's still way more packaging than there needs to be.
And then we see pictures of the sorted bins all going into the back of the same wagon. Now, I realise this may be an isolated incident, the papers doing what the papers do best and all that; but the evidence is there. It's infuriating.
And whilst we're ranting, can I add that at the moment I spend a lot of time booking flights over here or pointing others in the direction of the best ones. The number of times I, or someone else, has booked a flight, only for something to be wrong with the booking through some sly glitch in the booking procedure on the website; whereby the booking cannot be altered, but has to be completely re-booked and re-paid... now think about that for a minute. How many seats go spare on the aircraft because that's happened? Yes, Ryanair, I'm talking about you. That flippin' website is like a game of snakes&ladders, designed to catch you out.
I know I've said it before but you did know where you stood in Dick Turpin's day. And at least 'is horse manure didn't cause Global ruddy Warmin'.
Grrrrr.
Now, about that whisky...

Oh Jakey, bless you, hahaha, you've just reminded me of my 2 goldfish, Beaver and Buttock, one a big fat gold one with poppy eyes and a long tail and the other one a them black googly-eyed ones. I used to be mesmerised by them, like Strictly Come Swimmin' in our house.
Happy days. Shame they came a cropper when I moved house and thought it was a good idea to drive to our new abode with them in situ in their vase home, complete with Tower, on the passenger seat, then had to do an emergency stop.
Look, stop laffin'. It was blimmin' traumatic tryin' to retrieve a large flappin' goldfish from me glove-box at traffic lights, and it took some explainin' to the lollipop man who ran to my aid as well.

I find the best policy is just to ignore any thing unpleasant & eventually it will go away, we hope

Not sure Annie, and not allowed on Beeb1 tonight, as David Attenbrough thingy on at the mo, and being taped!
At least he made it home for Eastenders, so I don't have to suffer that being recorded as well!

Still with my summer duvet, have an extra one to clip into it, but didn't bother last year...all feather ones though!
Only reason I hate winter is needing to switch cars..means summer is over, and ice is on it's way - I just use Mr JG's all winter, keeps the mileage down on each of them! And I know I'm so very lucky and privilaged, but we pay for each of them ourselves....
That is the one advantage of not having children, you can spend the money on cars!!

Just wanted to say sorry I couldn't get to the book signing in Cardiff - I'd have liked to say a big hello in person - but thanks for the signed copy left behind the counter.
I'm really looking forward to reading it - but not as much as I'm looking forward to you taking over the R2 breakfast show. Wogan's a living legend, but a bit too laid back for my ears. Not all of us spend our days shuffling around the house in our slippers - some of us need morning radio that will uplift us and put a smile on our faces as we trundle off to the day job. And that's where you come in! And don't you just know it's gonna be great :-)

Or the norm when I'm having a bad day!
Talking of which, apologeeeeees for absinthe yesterday pm/eve. I felt bloomin' awful yesterday I did. Really struggled the get thru to half five. Things were not helped by the dreaded Monday meeting and the high-gloss paint aroma in the workshop. Ugh! Not nice.
Got in from work just before 7 after a chat on the phone, a trip to waitrose and a quick drop in at bezzy mate's house and was in bed by half nine.
Determined to have a better day today - I think I'm in danger of turning into a human hamster stuck on one of those wheels, every day much like the last, same old same old.

Greetings Ter CLP & ALL Blog Personel.......
Bingo Star ere.....
Am so busy noot been able ter blog since last week and am so busy know, sorry now!!!!!!!
Just been watching a tv programme thatta taped a few weeks back, yes only just goot arooound ter watching it know, sorry now..... It's of Coldplay on the South Bank Show!!!!!!!!
Love watching behind the scenes stuff like that!!!!!!
And whilst watching ave made two discoveries..... firstly Chris Martin and Paul McCartney..... and meself too but a suppose it's just these two things where any similarities end.... BIG style.... but what we've all goot in common..... all left 'anded and can't read music..... 'ow most interesting!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goes ter show yer don't need ter know the difference between yer semiquavers and quavers.... a always thought a semiquaver waz a broken cheese crisp from Walkers!!!!!!!!
Any way a waz watching The Martin, one of me all time fav celebs, such a nice bloke and so talented with it... in 'is own unique way, a waz watching 'im play 'Yellow' on the accoustic guitar and it inspired me ter ave a go on mine!!!!!!!
A find a get depressed about me music as a feel it's a waste of time... find it 'ard ter motivate meself ter practice, a terrible mind set a know, but watching programmes like this inspires me!!!!!!
Any way gave it a try and whilst trying ter get the Yellow chords ave accidently.... noot ter do with the Yellow chords.... but ave accidently stumbled on an awesome, beautiful new chord.... that so easily can be changed by one lift of a finger from a 'igher soft beautiful ringing chord ter dropping one finger and it changes ter a really deep powerful but soft sound.... coupled with mixing it with a G major and an E minor this could be the makings of an awesome song!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mind you... dream on!!!!!!!!
Any way.... don't know what me new chord iz called.... obviously it will ave a name butta can't find it!!!!!!
So am 'appy after that.... just wanted ter share it with all.... although noot the chord in too much detail in case any musicians are reading this and wanter steal me discovery!!!!!!
CLP - Sounds like a most 'appening and crayzeee week particularly an exciting time playing golf with Monty and co at The Celtic.... the place where you and Tash first met a do believe.... also playing golf with The Monty!!!!!!!!
Must admit..... 'e frightens me Monty.... a few times ave been following 'im aroound Wentworth and various Opens and 'e's given me.... and INDEED all in the crowd..... the looook...... yes the looook even though it's noot me with me mobile going off or making noise in the crowd!!!!!!!!!!!
A tell yer CLP..... stay on the right side of 'im!!!!!!!!!!
Nice bloke though..... think it's just 'e takes 'is missed shots too seriously and starts giving everyone...... The Looook!!!!!!!!
In fact a blame this little problem the reason for 'im failing ter win a major even though 'e should ave won a good few!!!!!!!!
Gotta go..... bye!

Right, who's got the Ranty Pants? Pleeeease, send them here ASAP.
I'll try to be brief and please feel free to ignore.
Basically, i've got a new house, not living there as doing loads of work to it. Re-wired (badly) by electrical cowboy (all varieties of cowboys are available, trust me, i've met them).
Decided needed advice - called Consumming Advisor - they said get independent qualified electrical fella in to list all probs and test safety, did that, rang back CA and they advised writing to John Wayne Electricals, give them details and costs required to put right all errors, then call them to check letter ok. Did that too. They said, better check with Trader Standards folk too, they'll call them and get them to call me, within 5 working days 'but shouldn't be that long'. 5 working days was yesterday, so called back and they put out urgent call and was assured they'll call by end of play yesterday. Nothing. Called this morning. Same thing. Now, here's the thing, I cannot go ahead and get this work done until I have sent the letter and given john wayne a reasonable time to reply - 10 days or so, but til then, I can't live there. And no-one seems to listen or understand. 5 working days? They're having a bubble.
Sorry, and thanks for listening, i'll pass the Ranty Pants on now, promise.

Afternoon all. The trouble with people that you like writing a book is that, not only do you skive off work in the hope of meeting them (actually, a first for me), you then spend a large chunk of the weekend reading the book. As a result, I've got all behind with work and am unlikely to have a minute's peace this week.
Oh my word - what a book though. I absolutely loved it. Beautifully written, funny and very inspiring. I was biting my nails in the bit about the Branson negotiations, even though I knew what the outcome would be. It was the little details as well though - I remember kids accidentally breaking thermos flasks at school and then using them as maracas for the rest of the day. Think I did it myself. Nice one Chris - can't wait for volume two (have a little break first though).
Lots of love to everyone - see you on the 23rd! Can't wait!

Afternoon each
Firstly..well done to Debs! Great news! And hi to everyone else..all been busy!
ALSO A RANT!
Having a pants week so far too so if either of the variety of pants is available for a trip to Yorkshire then please sling them this way..not fussy which..hee hee..
Had to `let someone go` from work yesterday due to cost cutting..only ever had to sack people before who deserved it and this person really didnt..just last in first out. Horrible start to the week.
And to top it off have been notified today we have an external audit at one of my shops on Thursday..think Ofsted but for us specialist retail type bods..deep joy!Bang goes my day off too!
But, I had a bike bought for me on Sunday and Green Day tickets for me yesterday..so life is ok after all! (yes, i AM that shallow...sorry!)
Oh, and if the 23 Dec thing is really happening please can we get details soon.... i can get train tickets at a right bargain price at the mo!
Off to find someone to shout at now..shouldnt be too hard with my lot!
Laters..

PS - THanks for keeping me sane and making me smile! x

I was having a pants week (ranty ones, at that) but the sun has just come out over Deevland - feel free to come on over and share the golden basking!
Letting someone go isn't nice - I've done it myself - but it's part and parcel of having a job with responsibility I'm afraid. I've promised myself never ever to have a job in a supervisory role again - I learnt very fast that you can't be one of tha gals and in charge at the same time. Sadly.
Anyway, the Deev mojo has returned and I'm smiling again.
Love to each and every flaming last one of you!

Afternoon Peeps.
Quick Recap on what has been going on.
Ranty Pants or not to Randy Pants, that is the question. I have decided on the basis of equality. There should be no Randy or Ranty pants, so I have removed mine. Cheers!
Paolo Nutini. Yes, Well there's another good reason for no ranty pants, randy pants. Keep em off.
Bingo - Know exactly what you mean about Chris Martin, everytime I see him I think he is someone else, but I can't remember who, and then I get confused when he sings. I get a feeling politian... but not sure.
My Mojo is always present, however I am not allowed to demonstrate while my daughter is awake, and listening. Sorry folks.
Sorry that Croc has decided to depart on the basis that internet gives him health concerns. However, on the basis that he gives everyone else health concerns, maybe it's a two way street.
Last but by no means least. I'm feeling so much better today. I had a sh it of a migraine yesterday which I came to work with, and as a result several people have received items they didn't order, and people who ordered items, didn't get anything. Maybes I should have stayed in bed.
Cheers! Afternoon, Goodeven and Good night.
I really don't like Jim Carey.

Hiya everyone:
I think the Ranty Pants is a great idea - however if I were to step into them, it would take until Christmas 2015 to deal with all my rants!
Met our lovely Highland Lass at lunchtime - we had such a good time. Of course, we had a long chat about CLP and the blog, but we also managed to discuss a wee bit of our own lives, which was great. Susan's lovely mum joined us for a glass of wine - just a pleasure to meet her. Rips: I did indeed show Susan your chair (someone has placed a plaque on it!!) and I did sort of go on a bit about the Glasgow Four meeting Chris! I think it is fair to say that when Chris's next book signing takes place, Susan will move heaven and earth to be there!
CSN: welcome to the blog - you will love being here!
freccle: terrific photographs - just how happy do Chris and Tash look? So happy for them!
Hope everyone else is ok.

Grill it a little bit, then slap some Apple Sauce on It, and a slice or two of Cheese, then stick it back under to finish cooking and get toasted. Do some fruity cous cous, and bobs your grandfathers' uncle.
I didn't welcome newbies, I'm still trying to remember who is who from when we all had to change names. Nob apparently is a bad word which comes in the middle of Dogwithnobrain.

Hi all, newbie here, I am afraid have just borrowed your ranty pants as trying to get my poorly mum a doctor, apologies if anyone is a doctors receptionist but she told me to ring back at 8.30 on Thursday!!!!! grrr I did very politely ask her, thru very gritted teeth if she would leave her 74+ mother in extreme pain, doctor is visiting shortly !!! so while I am waiting, I thought I would pop into finally say hello having lurked here for a long time :)
Have enjoyed reading all your adventures re your various jaunts to meet the lovely CLP, just wish he had come down to the south coast.
Keep up the good work as you all put a smile on my face when I am trying to catch up on the blog!!

Re post 438
I have no health concerns re Mr Crocadile so that's not everyone then is it?
In fact why bring up the subject at all. If somebody does have health concerns surely it is part of the 'spirit of the blog' to give them support, or are some people so far beyond the pale that all they get is a kick when they are down?
Complain about this comment
Hi goldiesmum: welcome - doesn't it feel great, now you have dipped your toe in the water of the blog?!
Now, I absolutely agree regarding doctors receptionists (sorry to those of you out there) but it is ludicrous that when you call the surgery, they suggest a date 5 days hence! I know so many people abuse the system - don't show up for appointments, etc. For this reason, our doctor now has a system where you have three strikes, and then you are out. If you don't keep your appointment, and don't even call to re-arrange, you are off the books.
However, it is still almost impossible to get an appointment unless you are at death's door!

Hi everyone. I agree about doctors receptionists. one told me i would have to wait three weeks for an appointment. I said, I could be dead by then. she said, well there's nothing i can do about that. I started laughing, she said, there's no need to be rude, so i laughed a bit more and said, give me the appointment and if i'm still alive i will be there. she was not amused. neither was i. xxx
