Loneliness is a thing called...

Chris Evans | 14:07 UK time, Thursday, 30 July 2009

... editing.

The book is totally finished except for one thing. A book is never finished - it can always be better and as long as they say I can tinker I will.

Been tinkering all morning to tell you the truth.

You have to be really hard on yourself and take a knife to anything that may even run the risk of holding the story up.

I spent four days writing one bit that I have just put a red marker pen through. It's good but it's not relevant. Relevance is everything when it comes to telling a tale.

The cutting room floor eh ?

Pass me the dustpan and brush before I change my mind.

I've often wondered what that's all about, and have never really had a satisfactory explanation. In fact, I've had a few people tell me it doesn't happen and I've imagined it; well now it all makes perfect sense.

    Cheers Ian. Top man.

Congratulations Bondy! Really pleased for you.

Bridge, LM really liked it at the new childminders. I'm not very good with change though so looking forward to things settling down a bit. Thanks for asking.

Ali, good luck with the new neighbours. Am tempted to say don't be happy or worried...just be. More therapy mumbo-jumbo...sorry!

On my own in the office again today.....don't like it!

Looking to you lot to keep me company today, no pressure or anything :-)

    Morning all

It's lovely and sunny here today as well!

Have just had a big argument with our IT dept. They got us a new colour printer as our old one snuffed it, but are now refusing to order new toner cartridges for it, as they are too expensive...absolute numpties!!

Ali, good luck with your new neighbours!

Bridge, I think my visitors are doing their own thing over the weekend, apart from us all going out for a meal with MiL as well tomorrow afternoon. It's more a case of staying in our spare roomm rather than paying for a hotel! As long as they don't expect room service, I'm not too worried.

Just heard the sad news about poor Bobby Robson, bless him!
