FAB 1.

Just left Haynes motor museum.

magnificent-7.jpg

What a place and what a story - gonna try and get one of the family on next week to tell all.

The cars are behaving themselves and so are the drivers ! They all had to pass a breath test this morning for insurance purposes which they all did and are treating the cars with the respect they deserve but not forgetting to give them a good blast when the roads open up - which the cars love.

It's good to see and hear all the cars together like that - thrilling.

On stage four at the moment Yeovil to Salisbury.

This really is so cool.

Quick swim and maybe a little nap when we get to Chewton Glen and then back on the radio live at five from the croquet lawn - all very mange tout.

Xxx.

Clp and The Magnificent 7 - somewhere in South West England.

See I'm so 'out of the loop' that I didn't even realise that another meet was happening.....have a good one guys, look forward to seeing some pics.

The Take That sage continues gang.......text from boss an hour ago telling me that her and her husband have split up tonight. I knew that she had stuff going on at home but didn't expect that! So bless her, she won't be coming to see the boys after all.

And I'm back to square one with two tickets!!!!

Maybe my sister in law can make it. Maybe I just wasn't meant to go.

Anyway, totally shattered here so might pop back later if I stay awake.

    Loads of love

This will sound most bizarre but we've just been warching and old episode of "The Herbs". Classic. Aplojees to anyone under 40.

Baggie: I think I've already mentioned that we are coming out of our ceremony to "Bring Me Sunshine". You can't get bouncier than that! (3 weeks tomoz!)Anyhoo, we have also put together 2 CDs full of jolly love-type music for our sit-down meal (won't call it a wedding breakfast as it's at 4 in the afternoon) so if teen1 can help me I'll fb you the playlist in case anything takes yer fancy.

Heard some of tonight's show, sounded fab even though to be honest I don't really "do" flash cars.

Happy FNWC to all, we are just waiting for teen2 to get back from an "NDubbs" concert, whomsoever he may be.

    Greetings Earthlings.

I'm back from my intergalactic rollercoaster ride around the cosmos, and in fine fettle.

    So, how you been?

Oh, by the way, it was a pleasure to watch one of my fellow aliens chip another notch on his bedpost this afternoon. Had you not realised? Roger ain't human.

    He is dancer.

Which leads me nicely onto the fun and games we had last week.

Now, I may have mentioned once or twice that we were off to London to take in a couple of bands. So, we glided the starship into the big smoke a week last Thursday and promptly headed to Shepherds Bush where we were lucky enough to witness one of the most mindblowing rock sets that can ever have taken place.

    Chickenfoot.

Who? I'm not trawling through the details again - look it up - suffice to say that I had to pinch myself several times during the course of the evening because I couldn't comprehend who I was actually seeing and listening to. Sammy, Joe, Chad and Mike, I salute you. Rock legends.

That was followed by a late beer 'n' burger (veggie - of course) at the HRC. Now, I hate to blow my own trumpet, in fact I'm still rather proud to even own such an instrument, but Mrs MfR and I look pretty OK for our age. But even I was slightly stunned when a bunch of Japanese tourists started taking pictures of us. Who did they think we were?

    Answers on a postcard.

So, the next day. We awoke to the bizarre news that Jacko had fallen off his perch. Now, I like a conspiracy, you know that, and I am convinced that this is all a ruse to bail him out of a pile of debt. Right now he is sipping a G&T somewhere in the Arabian desert counting the dollars as they pour in. 'Hello, Billie Jean number 3?, $2m, thank you very much'.

Either that or someone popped him off.

    Anyway.

We wandered across Hyde Park on Friday morning and caught the tube to Waterloo where we picked up the duck.

No, you got that one right, the duck.

Great stuff. A 2nd World War amphibious vehicle that takes you on a road tour of London before slipping into the Thames and giving you an aquatic adventure too. Well worth it. We then caught up with the rest of the planet and finally had a go on the Eye. I know, you all did it years ago, but we have been a little slow to catch up.

Then, the main event. Well sort of. We freshened up and then headed back into the park to see our old mates, The Killers.

It was a beautiful afternoon, and we joined 40000 of our closest friends for a beer or two in the sunshine. The support was fairly dire, and after the stomping rock of the night before, even Brandon and the boys, despite their best efforts, sounded a little 'distant' by comparison. Still, a fine way to spend a summers evening.

I hope all is well on planet blog. I have been dipping in now and then, but things have been pretty fast and furious lately, so I haven't caught all the news.

The really scary thing is that we are only 11 weeks from the big road trip, and we have done very little work on it.

Maybe that is a good thing though. Fly in, grab the rig, and hit the road. The rest will sort itself out.

    Yeah, I like that.

    Peace + love

As for Top Gear - My partner Chris, Paul who works for us and I, have a very similar relationship.

The dynamic is very similar.....I am James - without the intelect!

The best prank we have is aimed at Chris.
He's as tight as a Duck's a&^e, so when we go out and he needs to get some cash from an ATM. We hold back until the option for how much money you want arrives.....when one of us will pop up and press the £200 option.

    Hi Madi,
    Are you feeling OK???

I sometimes worry that you have a very unsatisfactory relationship at present and would like to "escape"!

Maybe you should think of your present relationhip as the closest that you can get to that ideal man. vVery few people are lucky to find their soulmates in their lifetime. I found mine, but I am not sure that i am her soulmate. We get on well though and love each other very much. The spark is still there from my side and she acknowledges it and is happy with the setup.

I suppose the question is: Do you love your present partner enough to continue?. I have seen earlier replies from you that your kids are at University and that you are probably having issues dealing with this. We have been through the same empty nest syndrome and my wife managed to get herself together. She said recently, that the love of her husband (me) gave her hope as she had known me for so long nd could rely on my support for the future.
iIdo not think that she had a mystery real love and I would have known if this was true as we have a very honest relationship now after she "strayed" many years ago. I think that it is this honesty which has kept us together. My best mate does not believe that his wife s honest and theyt have had to come to terms with this issue - better now.

he said that it is better to love somebody deeply and to believe in them - honesty will develop later.

i think that I should be a shrink as all my friends ask me for advice about their own relationships knowing that ours is as firm as we can get it and we respect each other.

If you want to reply please feel free as we are all non-judgemental and will help wherever we can.

have a peaceful and restful night and may tmorrow see you happy and contented.

    Love

    Dee

Goodnite to all. I must appear to be rather intense!!1 I am actually the complete opposite but love to help people with their problems. Have been doing this since I was a nipper - so my mom says!!

I think that Bridget is very thankful that her man made it through a major operation relatively unscathed.
My initiation into severe illness happened about 10 years ago when my wife became seriously mentally ill and almost destroyed the family with her delusions and paranoia. The children and myself looked after her at home and she did well on meds, but stopped them and went loopy again. now relatively well and seems to understand what is wrong.
My abiding thought is that mental illness is such a silent killer of relationships that it often goes unnoticed by most, except the close family.
We live from day to day and I hate to see someone who is suffering from even mild mental illness trying to battle it out alone. Family are the cornerstone of your "survival"

When asked if he would join a club replied, " I will not join any organisation that will have me as a member"!!

Good to hear that you are fine this am!!

Did you dream of your mystery man or are you happy with what you have. Life can be starnge at times.

Keep taking your meds, they are the only portal to happiness that you have in this situation. My wife caused us untold grief but we hung in an she survived.

The children were a different kettle of fish, the survive. The husband bears the brunt is is very tempted to throw in the towel as he (me) feels trapped in a one way relationship.

Have a good day and think positively!!

Make your man feel special. As you say, he is all that stands between you and mental wellbeing!!
