The headlines today.

Chris Evans | 11:34 UK time, Monday, 27 April 2009

In the main news...

...Noah has taken to sleeping for ten hours a night straight through !

Admittedly this is only for the last two nights but Tash and I are in shock. He seems perfectly happy and in fact brighter than ever. From 7p.m. to 5a.m.

He also talk constantly now and has started to blow bubbles like a miniature washing machine with the door left open. He's doing it now as I type and gurgling. The kid can't wait to be part of the gang.

He loves the cars and now has his own permanent baby seat in one of the big boys.

In other news I was at a loose end last night so I wandered off into the garden and had a cigar ! What the bloomin' 'eck was all that about ? I don't even like cigars.

Bring on the revolution.

    Morning CLP

Is Noah on the wagon? I only ask, coz I am at the mo (until this week's Blog FNWC, anyways!) and I am sleeping so well!!! It's lovely!

    Cigars? Bleugh.

Would rather have a sherbert dib-dab!

Went to popular high street hiring shop for Mr Bp's grooms outfit on sat - in area to wait only boys mags - but they had a lovely hardback book on classic cars so I sat and looked at the pictures until Mr bp was ready (and looked very good looking) in his outfit - roll on the wedding ;-)

PS - CLP - as an idea for raising money for chairty Im sure a few of us would put into the pot to come and look (not touch) your cars- what do you think?

On wagon never improved my sleep but cutting down on the eveniong munchies has improved things - think that's what Noah is doing well with.

I am a small child phobic! Unfortunately last week Big Boss's wife was struggling with some stuff and asked me to hold a small (ish) nappy wearing, dribbling (due to teething apparently) infant female human. After a minute or so said infant started coughing - "cough it up!" I said (stupidly!) whilst tapping her back - which being an obedient well mannered child - she did.........projectily(?) right across me, the floor and Little Boss's desk! Lovely!!! ;-) The smell of rennet moved with me for the rest of the day.

also having an incredibly strong gag reflex -especially to bodily fluids - I'm afraid a bubbling baby would have me retching for the skies!

Congrats on having two nights sleep - you will have to invest in a child "wheelie-bin" (well that's what we call them) to enable litttle noah to continue to be part of the gang and bruise all your shins in the process!

Noooooooooo! It's delishus. Speshly the crystal sherbert that comes in black cherry or orange flavour with a swizzle stick to assist with the lapping up of aforementioned sherbert.

Or lemon sherbert crystals with an ice lolly.

    Oh yes!

Gonna head to Jamie Oliver's fave supermarcardo at lunchtime now to stock up!!!

Also, sorry Thunder, didn't mean to pass it on....oops!

To be honest, I'm really struggling here today, can't concentrate as nose is running & keep coughing, and have a really important report to check, which I'm scared to do in case I miss something. Will have to leave it until tomorrow methinks, as it's better for it to be right.

For those of you involved in the "Haircut" conversation on friday, here's a little update. I survived (hurrah!) and am actually pleased with the results! very very nice lady hairdresser could obviously tell I was less than comfortable with the experience and went to great lengths to put me at ease. So I think I will be going back to her again! Went from shoulderblade length non-descriptive just there hair to top of shoulder length v layered choppy hair.

Busy weekend, staging the U7's section of our Rugby clubs festival....went without a hitch. The CMM seems very proud of me, which raises the question.....did she doubt I could organise it?

The boys played out of their skins, mine scoring the most tries (I can't tell you how proud I am), the parents all mucked in (the nicest group of people I have ever met....outside of here anyhoo) and the sun blazed all day.

    Morning,

Super bp - I bet that was fun, finding a cd every few minutes that you haven't heard for ages (and if you you're anything like me) not having the patience to let the one that's playing finish before swapping them.

Most of mine were bought during the Britpop days....before kids, mortgage and business. There's a few singles there aswell though, Oasis and OCS in particular used to put singles out with better b-sides than the main track.

I still have them, although now they live in the loft in the antique pine (remember when that was the rage) cd cabinets a mate of mine made for me. They were my pride and joy back then and used to dominate the lounge.

The CMM soon sorted that out!

I still buy albums even if I have downloaded from iToons, as I had a rather unfortunate incident the last time I swapped the pc - and lost all of the music (told I didn't know much about the gadgets).

I've only just finished loading them all back on - I did lose the stuff that I had downloaded though....another expensive lesson!

    Ooh. CDs / Music.

At a guestimate, between us I'd say me and Himself have approx 500 CDs. Add in to the mix around 500 or so albums (the old black vinyls things for you whippersnappers!) and Mr Deevs cassette collection and my ever-growing downloaded/emailed to me music, we're pretty well sorted at Deev Towers.

(oh - and about 350 or so 7" singles in the loft)

Himself's collection, despite his protestations at having a varied taste, is purely rock music. Many different guises of rock but rock, nonetheless.

Mine is a tad more eclectic: from Cuban salsa sounds, MOS Chill Out, a spattering of classical, some Rat Pack stuff then through the 1970s, 1980s (my decade, without a doubt!), a fair bit of BritPop and then upto modern day. Also in the process of acquiring all the Beatles stuff on CD - feel a bit irked tho - they're not cheap and so very very short!!

Currently got Oasis radio on thru my PC/last.fm - BritPop heaven!!

    Laters sweeties!

    Morning Bloggers,

After a misty start the sun is poking through....hooray.

Had a bit of a shock first thing this morning, as the buzzer in my flat went and when I answered it, the Police were wanting to be let in. Now there I was half dressed, so I ran to the nearest drawer and put on the first thing I saw, which was a black polo neck. It's OK it matches my black trousers, but I might start to get a bit hot later!

Fortunately they weren't after me, but my heart did skip a beat!

Oh well best get on, things to do, people to see. Have a good one.

You're reminding me of that dodgy show back in the 1980s (maybe early 1990s) - You Bet. Darren Day did it first then I think Davina took it over. Real Saturday night no-brainer viewing.

People used to identify songs by all means. My fave was a geez who could tell a song (can'tremember the artist, sorry) by placing a lit candle in front of a speaker and seeing how the flame flickered in time to the music.

    Now that is dedication!

    Morning all!

Off to see P!nk in Newcastle tonight. Really looking forward to it, but not the two and half hour drive home in the early hours to grab four hours sleep before setting off to Manchester first thing in the morning :-(

Day 2 of my 'be fit, not fat, at forty' campaign. Yesterday I had weetabix for breakfast; egg, beetroot and green beans for lunch; and mixed bean chilli bake with jacket potato for tea. Little concerned at this rate I'm more likely to be 'farty at forty' rather than fit! lol

Working from home today so catch up with you later.

Can I join the broken toe club as well. I broke my big toe many years ago running up concrete stairs in flip flops! Ouch indeed. I then had to drive myself to the hospital, as my Dad was away and my Mum doesn't drive.

The craze at the moment seems to be breaking wrists and hands. In the past week three people I know have broken one of the above!! What's that all about, and all of them are over 40!
