The headlines today.
In the main news...
...Noah has taken to sleeping for ten hours a night straight through !
Admittedly this is only for the last two nights but Tash and I are in shock. He seems perfectly happy and in fact brighter than ever. From 7p.m. to 5a.m.
He also talk constantly now and has started to blow bubbles like a miniature washing machine with the door left open. He's doing it now as I type and gurgling. The kid can't wait to be part of the gang.
He loves the cars and now has his own permanent baby seat in one of the big boys.
In other news I was at a loose end last night so I wandered off into the garden and had a cigar ! What the bloomin' 'eck was all that about ? I don't even like cigars.
Bring on the revolution.

Morning CLP
Is Noah on the wagon? I only ask, coz I am at the mo (until this week's Blog FNWC, anyways!) and I am sleeping so well!!! It's lovely!
Cigars? Bleugh.
Would rather have a sherbert dib-dab!

big boys cars - yes please CLP!
Went to popular high street hiring shop for Mr Bp's grooms outfit on sat - in area to wait only boys mags - but they had a lovely hardback book on classic cars so I sat and looked at the pictures until Mr bp was ready (and looked very good looking) in his outfit - roll on the wedding ;-)
Super bp x
PS - CLP - as an idea for raising money for chairty Im sure a few of us would put into the pot to come and look (not touch) your cars- what do you think?

Agree cigars bleugh and was it really your garden you went out to, or was it more like the estate you went to inspect with said cigar? Seems more fitting.
On wagon never improved my sleep but cutting down on the eveniong munchies has improved things - think that's what Noah is doing well with.
Raining. Cheery!

I am a small child phobic! Unfortunately last week Big Boss's wife was struggling with some stuff and asked me to hold a small (ish) nappy wearing, dribbling (due to teething apparently) infant female human. After a minute or so said infant started coughing - "cough it up!" I said (stupidly!) whilst tapping her back - which being an obedient well mannered child - she did.........projectily(?) right across me, the floor and Little Boss's desk! Lovely!!! ;-) The smell of rennet moved with me for the rest of the day.
also having an incredibly strong gag reflex -especially to bodily fluids - I'm afraid a bubbling baby would have me retching for the skies!
Congrats on having two nights sleep - you will have to invest in a child "wheelie-bin" (well that's what we call them) to enable litttle noah to continue to be part of the gang and bruise all your shins in the process!

Noooooooooo! It's delishus. Speshly the crystal sherbert that comes in black cherry or orange flavour with a swizzle stick to assist with the lapping up of aforementioned sherbert.
Or lemon sherbert crystals with an ice lolly.
Oh yes!

Also, sorry Thunder, didn't mean to pass it on....oops!
To be honest, I'm really struggling here today, can't concentrate as nose is running & keep coughing, and have a really important report to check, which I'm scared to do in case I miss something. Will have to leave it until tomorrow methinks, as it's better for it to be right.
Also have an annoying meeting shortly...why oh why?

Afternoon peeps - apologies for absence over the weekend, just no time to log on!
Sherbert was the subject of a comment on early morning Radio 2 today as the firm that makes Sherbert Fountains - yellow paper tube/licorice straw are planning to replace paper tube with plastic because of hygene issues around resealing the tube.
As a caller pointed out - don't we eat the whole lot in one go???
I remember eating the coloured chrystal stuff by licking my finger then dunking it in the bag, over and over.
Cue, multi coloured tongue and finger!

Ah Christophe...if you don't like 'em, whydja do it??? Eh? Eh? For m'self and the Badger, we both like a nice cigar from time to time. Having said that, it takes me about a week to finish one...
Am so glad your wee'un is sleeping the 10 hours. You obviously have different neighbours to us. Make the most of it...apparently youngsters start growing teeth at some point and tend to not sleep at all. This is hearsay I admit, but then I ain't got kinder, so I don't know from personal exp.
Anyhoo bless you all for still being here! I have been orf with a broken toe (Easter Sunday morning, walking through the Sett to change into t-shirt (so I didn't get all hot cooking brekkers), stubbed on a door frame, littlest one at right-angle to rest of foot, afternoon at A&E, strapped up, is first time out of house for two weeks having spent first week off face on co-dydramol (other face-offers available))...and I am back at work, having struggled in (by cab) wearing crocs and changing into my warm and comfy flippers when I got here o joy.

pppsss Crumps, I haven't had a sherbet fountain since I nearly choked to death trying to swallow it all at once (having junked the gopping liquorice) and spraying the gentleman opposite me on the train with a fine white powder.
btw toe is still broken, and still hurts...and I'm having to keep the (now getting a bit cheesy if I'm honest) bandage on for at least another two weeks...and since arriving at work, I've been told that my walking stick is too short (Peggy) and have subsequently been offered two more sticks and a crutch...but that's probably not for here!

Annie- the Hub is what the cable bringing the internet into your home will plug into.
It will then send the internet out like your own personal internet radio station to any laptops or whatever which can receive wireless signal.
They now do radio's which can pick up this signal and can let you listen to any radio station that you can play on the internet.
Boleyn girl - Hi, it's a playroom for the whole family...I have filled it with all manner of gadgets including a child friendly pc, tv and PS3 because they are getting none of them in their bedrooms until they are about 30.
The CMM has a bureau for card making and school work.
All of the craft stuff, jigsaws, board games etc are stored in a huge unit in there.
And For me a pc with iTunes containing all of my 2500 strong cd collection.
It's a great room! and it means we can have a proper grown up lounge.
Bloody garden is tiny though!
Beez - best day for ages thanks...you know when you get involved in something that takes up quite a lot of your spare time and the other half is pleased about it...win/win.
Hope the drugs do work...to contradict Mr Ashcroft!

2500 Cd's?
me Mr bp reorganised our Cd's on Sunday - all back in boxes and back in order - and I reckon we only have 400 - do you still have yours or now that they are 'burnt' have got rid of the actual things? I still like listening to an album all the way through sometimes - is that old fashined now?

Big Champs Lge week ahead, good luck to Chelski tonight against the dreamteam.
Can't believe Mr Webb bottled it at Old trafford on Sat evening, what a homer (that's not an anti gay slur for those nonfootball lovers, it refers to the ref favouring the home team), still I'd rather they won the league than Chelski. Mind you I think the Wet Spam fans went over the top - again - with Lampard.

Morning,
Super bp - I bet that was fun, finding a cd every few minutes that you haven't heard for ages (and if you you're anything like me) not having the patience to let the one that's playing finish before swapping them.
Most of mine were bought during the Britpop days....before kids, mortgage and business. There's a few singles there aswell though, Oasis and OCS in particular used to put singles out with better b-sides than the main track.
I still have them, although now they live in the loft in the antique pine (remember when that was the rage) cd cabinets a mate of mine made for me. They were my pride and joy back then and used to dominate the lounge.
The CMM soon sorted that out!
I still buy albums even if I have downloaded from iToons, as I had a rather unfortunate incident the last time I swapped the pc - and lost all of the music (told I didn't know much about the gadgets).
I've only just finished loading them all back on - I did lose the stuff that I had downloaded though....another expensive lesson!

Sunny and bright here. Drove to work with the Brothers Gallagher serenading me - can't beat a bit of Wonderwall at full pelt first thing!!
How fab was Ashes To Ashes last night? And then when it finished I made Mr Deev suffer the "red button" thingy - if you've not done it, give it a go! Actual clips of the actual artists back in the day performing on Top Of the Pops, with karaoke style lyrics to assist (not that I needed 'em, mind!)
Still love the "hair style" of the Flock Of Seagulls chap. Classic!!
Today ..... invoicing.

Ooh. CDs / Music.
At a guestimate, between us I'd say me and Himself have approx 500 CDs. Add in to the mix around 500 or so albums (the old black vinyls things for you whippersnappers!) and Mr Deevs cassette collection and my ever-growing downloaded/emailed to me music, we're pretty well sorted at Deev Towers.
(oh - and about 350 or so 7" singles in the loft)
Himself's collection, despite his protestations at having a varied taste, is purely rock music. Many different guises of rock but rock, nonetheless.
Mine is a tad more eclectic: from Cuban salsa sounds, MOS Chill Out, a spattering of classical, some Rat Pack stuff then through the 1970s, 1980s (my decade, without a doubt!), a fair bit of BritPop and then upto modern day. Also in the process of acquiring all the Beatles stuff on CD - feel a bit irked tho - they're not cheap and so very very short!!
Currently got Oasis radio on thru my PC/last.fm - BritPop heaven!!
Laters sweeties!

Mawnin schmawnin...Annie, we have a hub. Is just a shame the BT line was down most of while I was at home with my baddy foot...good really as I don't think I could've sat at dining table (where computer malarkey lives) for long without aforementioned injury throbbing like billy-o...anyhoo, the Hub is a jolly good thingamajig. Suggest you find 9yr old grand child post haste and get plugged in...or not...obviously...if going to be wireless...now I'm into the realms of things I don't get. After you with the grand child.
...and is also good when you can akshully wake up with a Flock of Seagulls haircut. Requires no effort other than to have had a bit of a restless night...

Morning Bloggers,
After a misty start the sun is poking through....hooray.
Had a bit of a shock first thing this morning, as the buzzer in my flat went and when I answered it, the Police were wanting to be let in. Now there I was half dressed, so I ran to the nearest drawer and put on the first thing I saw, which was a black polo neck. It's OK it matches my black trousers, but I might start to get a bit hot later!
Fortunately they weren't after me, but my heart did skip a beat!
Oh well best get on, things to do, people to see. Have a good one.

You're reminding me of that dodgy show back in the 1980s (maybe early 1990s) - You Bet. Darren Day did it first then I think Davina took it over. Real Saturday night no-brainer viewing.
People used to identify songs by all means. My fave was a geez who could tell a song (can'tremember the artist, sorry) by placing a lit candle in front of a speaker and seeing how the flame flickered in time to the music.
Now that is dedication!
My name is Rio and I'm dancing on the sand!

Off to see P!nk in Newcastle tonight. Really looking forward to it, but not the two and half hour drive home in the early hours to grab four hours sleep before setting off to Manchester first thing in the morning :-(
Day 2 of my 'be fit, not fat, at forty' campaign. Yesterday I had weetabix for breakfast; egg, beetroot and green beans for lunch; and mixed bean chilli bake with jacket potato for tea. Little concerned at this rate I'm more likely to be 'farty at forty' rather than fit! lol
Working from home today so catch up with you later.

Can I join the broken toe club as well. I broke my big toe many years ago running up concrete stairs in flip flops! Ouch indeed. I then had to drive myself to the hospital, as my Dad was away and my Mum doesn't drive.
The craze at the moment seems to be breaking wrists and hands. In the past week three people I know have broken one of the above!! What's that all about, and all of them are over 40!
