Bang On 8.21, I promise
I am looking at the time in the corner of my computer screen and it's telling me that
Noah is exactly one week old.
One week for goodness sake !
So all the warnings about him growing up before you know it are already coming true but I don't want him to. I just want him to stay exactly like he is for another year. He is so scrumptious and so unpolluted by the madness of the world. He only knows good and love and honesty and the magic of his own dreams. You can see it in his face. When he looks at you, he transports you to another place. This is the moment when I love him most.
He's already surpassed his birth weight. Initially babies lose weight and then it takes them 12 days to get back to where they started. Not Mr. Hungry though, oh no, he's 300 gramms over at 3.9 kilos. He can't get enough of his yummy mummy, I seem to recall that used to my perogative, in fact that's how he came to be here in the first place.
On the subject of Tash, she is looking so beautiful by the way. I mean she's always been a stunner right from her Girl On The Sofa days but she's never looked quite as radiant as she does now. It's just a tragedy she has an invisible "DO NOT TOUCH" sign over her head at the moment. Of course I completely understand why.
I had some idea of what a woman has to go through to give birth to a child but I had no idea about the aftermath. My my, Tash is actually frightened of going to the loo, she puts it off for as long as she can. When she does pluck up the courage to go, she does so armed with a huge jug of ice cold water and it's not for drinking !
Bless her, bless all women who have been through this. You are amazing.
