Another do, another day after the night before.
Last night the Drivetime team...
...had their "Christmas do."
A "do" indeed, we had a meal and then a dance in the same restaurant!
To be honest we had a blast, feeling it now though.
Have to write the drama. I think brief is sometimes best, well it will have to be today.
The thing is about a night like last night, when everyone was on such good form, it just makes me want to go straight out again. In the old days, this would have been exactly what happened but now I know, that is not "The Way." Ha ha ha ha ha ha.

I once drove to work after a particulalry bad night on the tequila...I did have to stop a few times and *get some fresh air*. It was only about 5 miles! Oh the good old days / shame.
Sometimes the only way to deal with the badtimes is to get up, get out and get on with it, unles you're chained to the bathroom of course!

Phoning in sick after a crimble do is a no-no! All your colleagues (and the bosses) know that you had a skinful, and then you phone in "Tom". Hi bloggers, long time no blog - at least from me.
Can't do the drinking thing any more, it just takes too long to recover plus I hate it when you plan to have 'a session', leave the car at home and then actually only have one or two drinks THEN can't get a taxi for love nor money!!!
If only I hadn't had the drink at all, I could be in the car and home instead of shivering on a pavement surrounded by very drunk people.

I'm glad that the christmas do sickie is not only pulled by the everyday drunk in the street! I haven't had one of those in a while... I try to make sure I don't plan anything for the next day (the joys of being your own boss eh?).
I'm afraid that our only little Christmas do is going to be on Friday afternoon and it's not the usual big dressed up thang... though I might just do so and hang the lot of em anyway!

Bondy, I remember seeing something on TV recently about sleep emailing. Some bod (that's bod not bond) has already tried to cash in by producing a software package you can install which will take you through an apptitude test if you attempt to send an email when you should be sleeping or under the influence of alcopop's..........at that point I switch off!

I am OK in myself just sore, and quite mainful in the legs and back at the moment.
I will be going back to work tomorrow irrespective, but mainly because I don't want to just go back for our Christmas lunch on Friday! Nuttin' special just a pub lunch with colleagues, and a secret santa that I refused to take part in! Bah Humbug!!!
Although, [No-one else is listening are they?] I have bought for myself a black mug with Bah Humbug written on it which I intend to wrap up and get given to me during the Secret Santa at the meal!

I went into work on Monday as I had certain jobs to finish. Whilst there works version of Mrs Spirit of Christmas (you know the type Chrimble songs being played all day from December 1, Xmas deckies and ear-rings etc.) Came hobbling towards me as I was hobbling towards her. She asked what had happened to me, so I told her! She then told me what she had done. The story follows;-
She was moving her Christmas tree in the living room and trod on one of the legs of the base which cut her foot! Oh how I laughed!!!

........hmm, not sure I like the idea of doing extreme sports PP - a nice posh dinner was more my idea! Could go for watching a sports event though - Lords Test match, FA Cup Final in an executive box, or similar?
If it was all action (of the sort you suggested!) that would mean I'd have to go for someone younger - but not someone too young who'd totally show me up! - rather than a more 'mature' man who might collapse and die on the date! Imagine how bad that would be!!

Went shopping tonight - bottles bought, gift tokens, Ben 10 annual, funny t-shirts for little boys for Christmas day, Batman dvd for stepson. Well done Annie!! AND 1 present wrapped to give tomorrow. I'm knackered.

Bsmum: I caught the end of Cliff and the Shadows. Not a good look Cliff, although I do like a bit of the shadows. They don't sound nearly as good as on the old vinyl though.

Can cope with him as Capt Jack - just about - but not as himself. I only saw 30 secs of his performance but presume that he kept everything hidden away as it should be this time!

Don't know whether you'll get what we're having/going to have..... I suppose it depends on how the storms track We've got 2 coming in. One on Friday the other Sunday into Monday. The latter is supposed to dump over a foot of snow....

Snow: it can snow EITHER on Christma Eve after we've done all our manic running around, or on 29th Dec AFTER we've parked up at Center Parcs and don't have to drive anywhere for a week! Imagine getting stranded there though ..... cool! (even if it is only 40 minutes from home!!!)
Saw the National Anthem bit of Royal Dirge Performance last night - so had a Hot Howie fix before heading up to bed. Needless to say, very seeet dreams were had!
Have managed to negotiate a night in on my own this Saturday! We've been invited to a party but I really don't fancy it, so I've bagged a lift with a friend for Himself and I am having a night in wrapping up his prezzies and watching toot telly. Can't wait to be honest!!!

Don't want snow this weekend either, as we have lots of driving to do to drop presents off with various family members. Late on Christmas Eve would be ok though.

As well as everthing else that has happened this month - last night i stopped at a roundabout and the guy behind didn't!!!! He was very apolgetic (and quite dishy with a southern hemisphere accent) and we swapped details etc but I really cannot be bothered with the hassle! Have come in today in b/f car and phoned insurance co who have assured me it will all be fine and I will get a hire car of similar style - quite looking forward to that! Who reckons that the superficial damage actually turns out to be major and I lose another car???

Funny everytime I listen to my Snow Patrol album, the identical one I gave to Inna, I remember the moment Inna lying 'appy on the sofa at the appartment I rented, listening to the CD for the first time and 'er turning to me and smiling and saying she really likes this album best.... funny 'ow music takes you to small moments in life like this!!!!
Actually, as much as a love this album, a find it painful ter listen ter the CD because of this... sometimes do wish I wasn't such a very sensitive bloke!!! Think I really loved Inna, still do... maybe.

Morning peep-holes.
Little bit of a moan this morning about my belovered.
Got woken up this morning with him hovering above me, muttering something about 'you turned my alarm off'. I have no recollection of this, and say so. He says 'It was set for an hour ago, you turned it off.' I retorted with 'get your own blummin' alarm and keep it on your side.' (I am a tad grumpy in the morning occasionally) Looking at the clock I see it is 7am, and so get out of bed, make tea, get grumbled at for wanting to take my dressing gown, have a finances check, play (and win) scrabble, and generally potter. Himself leaves for work at 8.45!! So, why then, is your stoopid alarm set for 6????

I heard some deeply disturbing news this morning relating to the Christmas festivities.
Now,according to Classic FM (have me alarm set to it, but listen to Togmeister when arisen).
To burn off the calories of one little old mincy pie, you have walk 4 miles, other excersise available,sobering thought eh.
So I reckon 5 marathons should take care of Christmas Dinner and Pudding.
