Mother and baby both doing swell, dad, Lol Fox, happy as a pig in the preverbial. There willbe ale at seven this evening I have been assured.
At the time of this writing, the little fella is not even fifteen hours old. He is cute as you like and didn't cry once for the few minutes I was there which was just a few moments ago.
How cool is life ?

Congrats to Billie & laurence! Wow what a dynasty of a family to be born into! Little Winston is well and truely a bone fide celeb - showbiz mates abound - yet i feel that his little feet will be securely tied to the ground with such a sensible and lovely family around him. Now there's a strange one and a what a lot it say's about today's society. If you're blonde or a chav (possibly both) it's OK to have a joke at your expense - perhaps both have a sense of humour - But if you dare have a joke re the travelling community then woe betide you! I was setting up for my music lesson in the hall today, when a Y1 girl (aged 5 or 6) popped in to get the register. She didn't see me.
Anyway, she skipped, yes SKIPPED! across the hall to get it. She thought she was on her own and she skipped out of sheer joy of life! Can you remember feeling like that? Think we should all try to skip at least a few steps tomorrow!

If some idiot wants to make an offensive remark just leave it there so everyone has the chance to see these people for what they really are and comment on it.
Don't let being moderated become a badge of honour for people who cannot contribute anything interesting and just wish to shock.
If I have a problem with something that has been posted I just tell the person.

I reckon a lot of today's ills within society stemmed from when we developed "children's rights".
Rubbish - if we were to do that then what about developing "children's responsibilities" too.

I saw Chris's initial message before it was changed - it was unrelated to the rest of the contents of his message and it was nothing to get excited about. I also saw B's Mum's response to it which was certainly not removed because it contained anything offensive. I disagree with you Kyle that something will only be removed because somebody requests it. In this instance that was plainly not the case.

Kyle - the BP remove posts if they contain certain words, and not wanting to be moderated here I can only say a certain word beginning with P which is oft a derogatory term for Travellers. Clue: it has a K in the middle and ends in Y.
I don't really like it when posts get moderated, but it is very hurtful when another blogger (or bloggers) aim their venom directly at you for no apparent reason. I know for a fact that this has put lots of regulars off blogging on here because of some of the lesser constructive comments posted from time to time.
Let's hope that's all in the past now tho, eh?

Yesterday, when CLP's blog was first shown, he said something that later was thought of as inappropriate. It referred to something he had been attending to earlier in the day yesterday, before going to see Billie's baby.
He must have had second thoughts about what he said, or someone else realised it was inappropriate. It was nothing bad in any way, he just thought better of saying it.
In the intervening time, B-smum simply commented (very nicely) on what CLP had originally written. She was moderated because he was too!
Nothing sinister, but I do understand your frustration, I would be feeling the same!!

I thought Kyle you were refering to me actually, as I seem to be top of the league for post removal. I must confess I even removed one myself which I had second thoughts about but unfortunately it came back to haunt me.
I think a blog could get a bit boring if it were all sweetness and nice all the time.

Mine was a little blue teddy which i callled Teddy Edwards. I used to carry it around with me all day long and wouldn't go bed without it.
My daughter now has a pink teddy called Teddy Teggs as she lost her two front teeth when she fell on a climbing frame and always has to have her teddy at night as it was a gift from the nurses when she went hospital.

I've got the chiminea going in the shed if you'd both care to join me. All you need is flasks of chicken soup and some non mouldy bread.
Lovely and sunny here but a bit nippy.
Been cancelled for tomorrow as well so only monday and friday work this week *sigh* but hey ho in all next week so far (unless they cancel it again)
Had the estate agent bloke around yesterday . . .25k less than we bought it for *mega sigh* so now we're looking at a house for 30k less than we though we was looking at :(

Still feeling grim myself (Bagpuss & Diva, squish up, must be room for one more on the sicky sofa!) but need to be here today as elusive boss has promised to come in today and I really do need to get some stuff sorted out with him! Meanwhile all this talk of Surfing brings back memories of a very nice chap who took me surfing one day in Angelsey... Well I sat in the car while he donned his wetsuit which had holes stuck over with bike puncture kit stickers. It was freezing not at all like the Beach Boys video's.
He was so nice and I was too young so that was the end of that love story.

Congratulations to Mr and Mr Fox on their little Cub. Has Jen had her little one yet I wonder?
I have a very sad admission to make, brace yourselves...... I have just finished the christmas shopping... I started so I finished... WHAT AM I GOING TO DO UNTIL CHRISTMAS. I was so exited about it and getting super organised (for once) with Hubby away again and the internet for company I just got carried away. So I will miss out on all the twinkly lights in Cardiff and the Carollers, I suppose lots of lunches in the city will have to suffice (what a shame...!)
Hope everyone is enjoying the onset of Winter, it is lovely and crisp in S Wales, with a low sun beaming throught the windows over the hills and a slight chill in the air. Nature at its best.

Oh Kyle. Get over it, sweetheart. There's enough to be grumpy about at the minute without getting into a rage over unimportant things bless you.
As one of the Great Unwashed Moderated, you do feel a bit of a plank when it happens but I always wash out me bad mouth before I begin these days so all is well.
Any road up, on the vital subject of fave toys, Cheryl, mine had to be me dolls' house. Oh yes. I used to spend hours separating my small rubber dolls, Spike and Spera (? don't ask..) when they fell out, which was most of the time, actually, and they used to spend most of their time fighting and rearranging the furniture. I well remember my excitement when I finally saved up enough money for a battery-operated lamp for the bedroom, and the subsequent devastation and disgust when I discovered the battery was actually bigger than the wardrobe.
I also remember the nightmare cousin Baz's visit when he left plasticine poo in the toilet and incarcerated a very angry beetle in the fridge which went for me jugular when I released it. Just because I grassed him up to Aunty Edna, she of the heat-seeking hands and knuckleduster wedding ring which stung like hell behind your left ear, for adding cod liver oil to Renee's gravy and causing Granddad's piles to flare up again.
Eeew I'm off. Renee's got Daniel O'Donnell on the telly and the Tourrette's will kick in again if I don't exit stage left. Bless him. A face you'd never get tired of slappin'.

The scally's are currently off tracking down some scissor sharpening oil and sharpening stone! I said I would get them back, and they complained that our scissors weren't very sharp (hmmm not the only things) so I sent them to get the necessary articles (Well you've heard of cutter oil!!!). I expect them back shortly so TTFN!

Beesmum, you should try Abergavenny on your way to the bolt hole for a bit of shopping, its a detour but there is one boutique that is FAB! I did all the Girlies in one go there, loads of unusual and Lurvely bits (including the bag I have my eye on for Moi!) If you want more details I can FB?

In my past as a young Aircraft Techie, I was sent to have a 'Bag of Air' tested, and had to ' collect' said air from several points around the camp, label them and turned up to the lab with 15 bin bags full of air for testing. Gullible... Me?

007 - its never too early for the white stuff. When I lived abroad I remember having the best birthday ever with snow on the ground and my b-day is beginning of October (those were the years when winters were proper winters and summers were proper summers).
Up here we have clear blue skies, but cold - V. Autumnal. Quite a frost this morning apparently - not that I saw it!!!!!
might have to insulate duck houses if it starts getting really cold - they tend to clench their bum cheeks if it's too cold - not good for business!!!!!

Just a wee note to super bp, CtD and everyone feeling lousy with this cold bug/flu-thing/whatever.
Try taking Pulmo Bailly - terrific stuff! It is a "cough bottle" but with a fireworks display attached to it!
I got some last year, on recommendation. I was so wrecked that MrS administered it to me .... without reading the instructions! FlorenceS gave me two spoonfuls - straight - and then later realised it should be diluted in water!
Perhaps he had his reasons ........!

I have my very own tool kit - drills, saws, pliers etc. Mr Egg is sooo not into DIY or fixing things - he claims his hands are too big for fiddly things like that! hmmmmmm He may have a point there - a screwdriver in his ham sized hands does tend to look more like a toothpick. And i suppose he is v. busy trying to feed the nation. OK I will forgive him for not oiling the shed door
