Mange tout people, mange tout. For the first time since i started doing this show, today...
...I feel completely relaxed. Something has happened, I have reached a different place, not only because I pressed the sixth floor button in the lift by mistake but something more than that.
I went to the gym, as I always do around oneish and it was all just so much easier. I could have stayed there all day, I don't why. And then the shower, the water cooler, fresher, it was like, like, oh I don't know just euphoric, amazing. My hands now typing, lighter, less worried, everything clearer. I can almost feel a channel of air blowing up and down the inside of my spine.
I think it may be time for a few beers tonight, it's almost too much joy to bare.

I wish you would go back to giving your blog a heading! Sometimes they did not make sense, but it was just more personal! Sorry to be demanding. Glad to hear you are feeling so good - and indeed why not, life is treating you very kindly at the moment and that's great.
Just have to ask, have you been to see Jersey Boys yet? What a show, utterly fantastic - I was in London last weekend with my sister and I am still on the ceiling, we had such a great time!

I tried to blog yesterday but to no avail, I was going to say to EJR that I couldn't believe BA lost his luggage so many times, I work there, maybe I can help.
Loving the chilledness Chris, i'm looking forward to a "chilled" weekend, down on the beach in Woolacombe for best mates stag do. Should be fun and no ridiculous shenanigens going on, just a bunch of mates enjoying the surf, kites and beer...nice. Then it's the parentals 40th wedding anniversary on sunday, so will drag my no doubt (ever so slightly) hungover person down to Plym to see the folks. All good. Well done Mum and Dad (Sue and David for those that don't know them).

Actually that doesn't say much for me because I feel absolutely awful, I must have been a really bad person in a previous life! I hate having ME, I wish it would go away but I know it doesn't it's all about how you manage your lifestyle to accommodate it and normally I am very positive about it all but it's getting me down bigtime at the moment! Wish I could fast forward time to when I feel good again!

Jules77 - I had ME for years too - seem to have been so much better since I fell pregnant with the wee lass - was due a relapse that year and it didn't come. Few folk understand how debilitating it can be and how some days raising your head off the pillow and opening the curtains is too hard to bear. Please do look us up on FB!

Izzygg - we went through the same with my Dad about 4 years ago, tumour on his elbow, but excellent result for him too, despite the long slog through treatment. So glad for you and your family that it was a success.
A 2 year old friend of our wee lass's is in Yorkhill just now with Neuroblastoma, stage 4, which is so hard on everyone. Positive thoughts and prayers would be greatly appreciated.

I shall not be requesting an ARF today for 2 reasons.
1stly, had one played just a few weeks ago
and 2ndly, and most importantly Mr CLP played my usual request for ARF yesterday as one of the gobsmackers which I am truly grateful to 1stly the nominator and 2ndly to CLP, even in if he did cut it off half way through the guitar solo which melts your face.
As you probably are aware Errol - TP is quite poorly. The 'trap muscle' from what I understand is the big muscle in your neck, the one that goes when you crick your neck. He is now fast asleep, catching flies, on the sofa. I would happily give him a massage, but he can't turn over. Ho hum.
EJR - happy travelling mate. We flew with KLM back from Ecuador, and between us we watched the same films as you. As a newly engaged fiancee (or financer as I am sometimes called) I hope I am able to give ETP as much freedom as he requires to do what he wants when he wants, and furthermore, encourage him to do so. Don't mean to sound like I'm having a go (I have retyped this many times trying to make it sound more breezy, but to no avail). I am a cynical romantic I guess. Been married twice before - both times to shih-tzus (ahem), but still have not been put off the idea -obviously!
Anyhoo, lighter things - Spent 3 weeks in NZ last year. Was excellent indeed. If you get a chance, do the bird wire in Christchurch - failing that, at least do the Jet boat and luge.

Hello everyone!! Can't take in what's going on the blog tonight - my daughter is home and talking at 100 miles an hour!! Feels really strange today as I am on my daughters lap top in Norwich as I have taken the youngest one to her flat so that they can go to a concert together to see the Lostprophets at the UEA!! they are happy bunnies!

Well hello girls and boys, haven't you been busy today!! Tried catching up a couple of times while I was at work, but there's so much going on here (to be fair, I did spend an hour watching this week's Doctor Who - busy? Me???).
CLP, sounds like a good place to be. I'm getting closer to it I think. Losing mum has made me realise that there's so much going on that's just really not important. Yes, a girl who thinks she is my friend is flirting like mad with my ex boyfriend, for whom I still have feelings (which she knows). But you know what? I'm not going to let it bother me. Cos there's sooooo much more important stuff to be concerned about. Cue all that stuff about knowing what you can change and accepting what you can't. Too true!
So, welcome new bloggers. Izzygg, glad things are going well for you, long may it continue. And Jules n Mary, thinking of you both and hoping for better times just around the corner.

Well I logged on at 5.30pm as instructed and clicked away like mad. I got two tickets, good ones too. 5 minutes to complete transaction. Typed in details, membership code etc. Was told that code was wrong, kept trying but I was reading a 'q' as a 'g'.
Got timed out. Or so I thought.
Tried for the next night to be told, you can't book for two consequetive nights 'check basket'. I accidently cleared the basket.
Mr Debbie called me and he had got me two tickets but right at the back of the venue.
But better to have those seats than none at all as I told him.
Very excited now!

Oh Debbie I'm so jealous, right at the back or not!! Saw him in Manchester courtesy of Marriott Hotels (other hotel chains available) in a corporate box, which was at the back, but it was still amazing. Sang my head off all night (and believe me, I've no singing voice and no amount of alcohol could convince me otherwise!). And INXS too *sigh*.

Oh, forgot to tell everyone earlier. Went outside late last night to bring in the cat's blanket (had to wash it cos he'd been sick all over it). Thought heh, I'm only going to the top step, won't bother with shoes. And what was on the top step? A slug!! Which I stepped on. With my bare feet. Eeeeuuuuwww. Still shuddering from the memory. Dad seemed to find it quite amusing...

I'd say have a go Debbie, but don't flog yourself about it. GM might only be 5 inches high from your seats, but I'm sure there'll be screens and the music'll still be there!!
Am sure you'd get loads of money for your tickets on ebay or some other auction website if you did manage to get better seats though.

Debbie - I have been front, middle and back of EWembley and they're all good for very different reasons. At the back you will see everything and absorb the whole experience, plus there will be the screens. Somethimes being too close can leave you a bit tunnel visioned (although I didn't care much when I touched Anita Baker's hand in the early 90's! and then shook hands with Frankie Beverley - Maze - at another one!)

Alfie found the top of a shoe box and came through to show it off so I threw it for him and he ran full on to catch it and surfed shoe box style right to other end of room!!! My other half has phobia about mice....when he was about 10 he had pet mouse and it escaped...after a few days thought it had disappeared. Good morning to everyone :) And a beautiful morning it is here, except for whoever is burning something and making it not possible for me to sit with the window wide open. I have no idea what to say to anyone so maybe I'll start where the end is and just go from there...
Went to the Big Smoke yesterday, and it wasn't as terrifying as I expected it to be. Was actually more scared of going into London than for the scan but all was well, in every sense. Baby was wriggling so much and had burrowed right down so the consultant had to work hard to see what he needed to see - and spent much time sitting back, saying things like, "If you would just sit still for one moment... whenever you're ready baby..." hehe. And then baby seemed to sleep for the rest of the day when I wished it would play up for my brother and sister-in-law. Sigh. I can see it being a handful. No pictures but then we've got the official 20 week scan in a week so hopefully will get some then! Shattered today...
Right, finished reading however many hundreds... off to put the washing out, maybe, if the smoke isn't swilling around the garden.

Our civil liberties are being eroded slowly and obsequiously and no one seems to care very much.

Mary, just saw your post about feeling down. I've been there too, and it's a horrible place.
A few suggestions that might help a tiny bit -
Rescue Remedy
St Johns Wort (but if you're taking any other medication check it's ok to take it)
If you can find somewhere to go for reiki or an aromatherapy massage - i remember crying for hours after a reiki session but feeling so much better afterwards, like I'd let go of something
Counselling - if you can find the right therapist, really really does help. and if you don't get the right one first time around, don't feel bad about changing
Close the curtains, get a quilt, get into your pjs, snuggle up on the sofa and watch back to back episodes of something - Frasier is my fave, because it's not all 'happy ever after', it's just brilliantly witty.

Sparkly - such good advice! All true. Also cried first few times had reiki....in fact I don't know anyone who didn't cry when had their first reiki. It is definitely a release, balancing sort of thing...well worth trying. always feel lighter after.BUT
CLP - off to get my underarms waxed just now!!! And half leg!! What us girls have to do! Don't find either painful...been getting done for years now. However....bikini wax...now that's a different thing altogether. Don;'t like that much! Best advice I got was to take a few painkillers an hour before!!! works a treat..still don't like it though :(

Can only post at work at the mo, I do technically have t'interweb at home, but my computer is in a room where, *embarrased cough* mice have currently invaded!
Seriously I've tried poison, humane traps, less than humane traps, stomping round and screaming loudly.....nothing seems to be working!!!

Annabat - ask them to leave... I know it sounds silly but it has worked in the past for many people! And it has to be worth a go. Tell them it is an inappropriate place for them to live, you will call in the professionals and/or a cat, so it's time they left. If they don't leave, borrow someone's cat. Leave her/him in the room for a wee while and the smell should help shift the blighters! Good luck. Poison's never good.

What a great read this blog is, no honest! I have been remise and not been even lurking as often as the blog merits. I am back now and hooked again. I will admit to not having so much time to play as I would like these days but I will contribute when and where I can.
I send mine in the form of a heart felt {{{Hug}}} from the big fella, just coz I can! ;-)
Mary please do not leave the blog honey, you will only have us all worrying about you! Stay strong and time will help, believe me I know only too well. For what it is worth I will tell you how I get over the down time I still experience from time to time. The first thing I have is a thought of a happy time. For me it was the birth of my first child. What a happy time that was, I remember crying with joy the first time I held him and being so happy. That memory will stay with me for ever, even now he turns 20 tomorrow (I know I do not look old enough?..cough, cough!) and there have been time I could have happily killed him (so to speak). The other method I use when times are bad always seem a little strange but I think of people in this world who are worse off than me such as the earth quake victims in China, and for one reason or another what is going on in my life seem to be put into perspective and things do not seem quite so bad. Now these are only tools that help not a cure but if they help to lift the dark clouds for even a short while then they must be worth a go?

can't afford to get a professional in sadly - lost my job a few months back and am now doing temp work whenever i can whilst looking for a permanent job, so money's pretty tight, specially with my wedding coming up in 8 weeks or so!
jen - i'm stupidly terrified of mice, but i might be strong and have a heart-to-heart with them tonight and politely ask them to vacate the premises!!!!
Am planning on getting a cat after the wedding, but would have to be a kitten as i have a hamster and 2 guinea pigs to think of - a fully-grown cat might see them as an interesting snack, whereas a kitten growing up with them *should* respect their right to life!

Afternoon all, my first time on the blog so be nice. My ARF first song request is for Footloose by Kenny Loggins - watched the film for the first time ever this week with my daughter (very remiss of me I know, what a fab cheesy film!) and the theme tune got us both dancing round the lounge!

CtD, you're funny. Needles, schmeedles....you won't feel anything....well.....you may feel slight feeling in a couple of the needles and often not the ones near the area affected.....like I said before no idea how that works. It is a lovely experience, so well worth the phone call...well done miss brave CtD!!! Oh what's that .......I think I hear your mobile!!

Thanks for all the welcomes, much appreciated.
Normally at wor kall day, but booked a day off to enjoy the sunshine; big mistake. Agree with everone about Field of Dreams, the best film for lifting spirits. Living in a house with 1 teenager doing A levels and 1 doing GCSEs, I find myself watching a lot at the moment to relieve the stress.

Dreamer - pain is tolerable, needles are very very only just! I have to suffer needles several times daily and still get really stressed and worked up by their presence... But yes, when the time comes I will be of the opinion of "give me everything you've got just stop the pain..."
Not in a Primal Scream mood today, so no Rocks request from me... something else caught my attention though recently, all I have to do now (apart from remember how to turn the sound on in the attic) is remember what it was. Or even the general vein of what it was would be nice!
Still not sure about this weather.

I normally train on Sat and Sun mornings (I'm a rower) but have just found out that this Sunday is totally FREE!!! YAY! No training and no regattas.
What can I do to make the most of my Sunday? Weather forecast looks good...

OMG 212 posts to read.... what have you all been discussing...?
I had a puncture this morning then the guys said yes it could just be repaired but the front two tyres were bordering on the limit. Only done 10,000 miles on them as car new. So replaced them.
Driving to work late - got to park up and thought the front tyre hub cap secure thingy doesn't look flush - yup you guessed it the garage hadn't put them back on properly and even worse the punctured tyre had lost it's one completely. So took car back to garage round trip 1 hr same route and no sign of missing cap (gets fastened by a screw and is part of the alloy) the garage had 3 attempts before getting the caps back flush and said would pay for the replacement cap.
So Oh Joy paid out for two new tyres and repair. Ordered the replacement 4 (yes four caps) look a bit like wavy frisbees from my garage.
Finishing up here in the office as it is my last day here.

Afternoon and mange tout all!
It's the end of yet another hectic week (frantically explaining absence for last few weeks) and I've missed you all!
Fri 13th started well - both kids at home ill! The little (not) cherubs (def not!) have seen the doc and been given the relevant medications...
Now for (one of) the important bits - is everyone OK? Hope I haven't missed too many birthdays/births, etc!
My sis had a pink baby this week, but due to flat tyres on motorway (v scary) and poorly kids, not been able to see her yet!
For the other important bit... Can I please, please, please have "It must be love" - Madness, OR "Walk this way" - Run DMC as the first tune on ARF tonight?
Next task today - try to get a name that people will recognise as me!

Thank you all for your lovely comments and kind thoughts.
Tinsel - At times like this I love the sanctuary of my bedroom. This morning I changed my bedding and fluffed up my mattress topper, needed to rest for an hour before I could drive myself to work mind you, but I can't wait to get home and climb into bed. Will have a nice candle lit bath before I do, listen to the show and snuggle up in bed.
What you said is very true, and I am normally very good at handling situations by not allowing them to affect me, but yesterday I was offended at something that was said, actually more hurt than offended. Today is a new day and I've put yesterday behind me I know my sun will come up tomorrow just not sure when that tomorrow will be but I have every faith it will happen. Thank you so much for your support, I really do appreciate it.
